you have too many questions in one place to tell them apart.
It is not clear what you do and what you don't understand.
I thought you have created several modifications like this so you should know most of it.
And a bit of practice with the data files contents should be enough to understand.
Just try the changes and see for yourself how the game recognizes them.
The example I have given should be pretty much functional (from the playing years perspective). And it would look the same for men and women tour.
Also I don't understand what is the problem with years overlapping, the example has it all.
If your career starts in 2030 lasting till 2046 and you have the player base only until 2040, it should be obvious that from 2041 on you have no players available.
You cannot play from 2012 till 2090 in one single game, you can only have the player base for all those years as long as it contains max. 32'000 players.
But you should still keep in mind that you need enough players for each year (at least 1000 in standard setup) for the game to be playable.
Please write the specific questions about what is not clear to you separately and I'll try to answer as best I can.
Focus on one thing at a time and not on changing everything in both tours at the same time.
It will be easier to move on, this way we will get nowhere.
How many players do you actually need ? We could start from that number.
