Documentation ?

Postby Quizzor » 22 Apr 2012, 02:10

Hi new here. Just started playing tennis manager love it. I was wondering if there is a way to watch the game instead of just watching the score? I would assume that you can't and is only do able in Tennis elbow and not the manager. But anyways the main question that i want to get answered here is that: Is there like a game introduction. I think i understand the game but i am having troubles holding my stats is that normal?? I was also wondering what type the game styles mean some are pretty self explanatory. Another thing is when beginning a match how does the energy spent mean?? Is that the amount of energy being spent in the first half of the game?? Because i have noticed that the energy will go back to 100. And what game styles trumps others.

I do apologize for being a noob, but we all have to start some where.
And if you can answer these questions please do so
Thanks

Hello,

you can find the documentation here : https://www.managames.com/tennismanager/ ... _Game.html .

And yes, you cannot see the match in 3D, you can see only the score simulation.

Okay thanks for that.
I looked through the Documentation/Manuel and Could not find the different levels of tournaments. What mean by this is how difficult the tournaments are before you enter them. On the planning I have seen F1 and F6. I was just wondering what one is going to be harder/more higher ranked players in them?

I seen the top spin part and having troubles understanding. In basic wording from what I understood tops spin is best used for Slow moving courts is that correct?? And then is less valuable for faster courts?

F = Futures level = lowest
Challenger is next
Then 250
500
Masters Series
Slams

The number of the futures event is just a number (ie F1 is the first futures event of the year, then F2 etc) - no difference in difficulty

Okay I have read the serve section of the guide but it does not mention really what serve is best for each surface only mentions best serve for playing style. Also I see the stat top spin, does that mean top spin on serve or your regular ground strokes??

check the Talents : https://www.managames.com/tennismanager/ ... ml#talents .
If "topspin" alone, it's only for the ground strokes, if "topspin serve", it's about the Talent, and it's for the serve.

I am also having trouble holding my stats up to were I want them. I have noticed tho that it have gotten easier to maintain the skills tho as my player has gotten older. Will this continue to do so. Currently my player age is 21 and beginning a new season. His birthday is towards the end of the season.

You can likely maintain more easily his skills coz you hired trainers, no ..? And if you still didn't, you should do it now..! ;)

It's only around 28 than his skills will be more stable.

Hmmm well tht is weird i have not hired a trainer.... But do i have to have the trainer go with him in order to hold his skills. And I thought that the trainers you hire is for the other players you recruit?

Off topic but nice to see you from France. French people are the coolest... I have you know that my girlfriend is french :)

Only some of us... ;)

The trainers will only make the training more efficient (ie: raise some skills faster), but not slow down the fall down.
You can assign trainers to follow any of your players, and they will always help all of your players that are in the same location than them.

Not really... but for example, to be beat a volleyer, it's better to have good passing-shot & lob skills...

Well... close enough to what I meant. How to play certain styles that will give you some what of an edge? I understand this won't give me a complete win, but really all I am looking for here is just a slight edge over my opponent.

Answer: Top Spin.

Change the amount of top spin up and down for different surfaces - high (50+) for clay, low (<20) for grass, around 35 for hard courts. Look at your opponents top spin before the match - if you and he have similar skills, but your spin is more suited to the surface, then you are likely to win. If you are at a disadvantage, then use the experience points to add a % to your skills - may be enough to get a big win.

To get your ranking higher, perhaps concentrate on 'lesser' tournaments, rather than trying to compete with Federer, Nadal etc in the slams and IMS
