EDIT: Just to clarify, when I first downloaded Build 23 there was no problem. I went back to my game in progress tonight, two months later, and was met with a popup that a newer version was available. At that time I noticed that my game in progress was offering me the option to purchase the full game. I downloaded Build 24, and I cannot modify the data folder without rendering the game inoperative. My assumption is that this is because Build 24 also thinks of itself as a demo, and demos cannot be modified. (If I didn't already know that I had purchased the game, the fact that Build 23 had allowed me to modify the data folder would have convinced me.)
