Hi!
Just wanted to say that I loved the original Tennis Elbow many years ago, and having bought the latest version after finding your site, I still do.

I played the Alpha of Tennis Elbow Manager, and I hope you release the full game soon, since I think I like it even more than Tennis Elbow, and I'll buy it as soon as it's out.

Thanks for making such a great game, I've enjoyed it since I was a kid.

Yeah, I feel old too now, but I had to say it, the game entertained me for sooo many hours :D

Do you have any estimation on when TEM could be released? Or when a newer alpha (or beta, if they are not the same) could be released?

Thanks!

I hope TEM will be finished for Christmas...
About an Alpha, nothing is sure, it'll depend of my needs for feedback. But you could expect a Beta on beginning of December, if everything is alright.

it's going slowly, but it's going..! ;)

Hi Manutoo,

I hope you are doing great.
I was wondering if there's any news, screenshots or new features of Tennis Manager that you could share.
At least that way, the waiting until december isn't so long :D

Hello,

it's still going slowly, so I didn't do much since last time, but here the new Sponsor menu :

I'm working on the team now, and maybe I'll do an Alpha 2 once it'll be done. This alpha would have most of the new gameplay elements, and it could be interesting to do some testing before adding the last (big bunch) of details all around the game...

its doesnt get cancelled when he qualifies for the final draw, but gets cancelled when he qualifies for further matches in the event that collide with the next tournaments qualy.

just a nice link although I am sure you have them all:
here
http://www.tennis28.com/rankings/systems.html
you can see how the Entry Ranking changed over the years. The one we have now got startet in 2000, so I would say starting the game after 2000 would be better. Maybe - its all up to you :D
(I was surprised that since 2000 there are no more bonus points for beating better ranked players).

I love SteveG Page http://stevegtennis.com/ , you can find everything here, for example this 2006 calender:

ciao

Just a heads up, manu, the qualification spot is only vacated (or handed to somebody on the waiting list) if the player fails to show up. For instance, if a player is scheduled to compete in the qualifying draw for the US Open, and is in the main draw at the Pilot Pen (the week before, in New Haven), and can make it between the National Tennis Center and the Connecticut Tennis Center at Yale so as to make both the main draw matches at the Pilot Pen and the qualifying matches at the US Open, he is more than welcome to compete in both. However, neither event is allowed to adjust the order of play for the express purpose of allowing the player to compete in both.

Round Robin format

Hi,

Has anyone seen this story: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/tennis/6086522.stm

also for more details: http://www.atptennis.com/1/en/newsandsc ... /news5.asp

Do you think it's worth worrying about for this game?

hello!
if the upcoming product is the (maybe) TEM 2007, I think the group-stuff for ATP tournaments is something for the TEM 2008. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think I read that Manutoo sayed the TEM should be ready round christmas, so I think every new structural feature would bring a big delay. I dont think anyone wants this :D

ciao

I will surely not put this in the game, at least, not before 2008.
I think it's a very bad idea, and I really hope the ATP will not keep it... :?
(maybe I'll change my mind after have a seen a couple of tournaments like this, but I really doubt it :P )

Yeah I have my doubts about how this will work. As I understand it, it means smaller overall draws with more guaranteed matches for players taking part in the early stages. You'd end up with lots of throwaway matches - i.e. where the result plainly doesn't matter.

yup, and it means one of these 2 choices :
- more matches for players so they'll be more tired in the end of week (ie: less interesting semifinals & final), and on the long run, they'll get more injuries
- less players in the draw, so you won't see the risen stars (or players coming back after an injury, example: Safin) before they actually reach a really good ranking...

So I really don't see how it can be good for tennis...
