1997 Review

Image

Venus started off the year well making the semis of Brisbane and Second Round of the Australian Open before losing to Amanda Coetzer. Venus would then go into the clay season winning Ponte Verda Beach her first WTA title in her hometown of Florida. Venus continued with her great play on the clay by making the semis of Roland Garros beating defending champion Steffi Graf. Other then these tournaments her results have been pretty medicore for a player of her talent level. Expect her to do much better next year!

So what's been going on with the Venus diaries??

I was thinking of making one myself with a fictional player "Anke Reinhardt" from Germany.
I'm definitely a guy...even though my profile pic is of Anke Huber :P
