Hi all, I've just played the AO 1998 at incredible level, and one of my players, Myskina, 16 of age, ranked 30 in my game and whose rankperyear is 293 in the Players.WTA.ini, made it to the final, hardly losing it to Mary Pierce 10/12 in the third .
While, on a side note, my main player who has been #1 for a while still didn't manage to win her first slam and lost in R4. But that's not the problem.
If I understand well the way the game functions, the "rankperyear" determines the current stats of the player we don't coach, but not his/her potential. Once we decide to coach him/her and start the training, the stats will improve, in some proportion with the potential (the player will improve quicker in the game departments where he/she's got high potential and slowlier in the others), but in no relation with the "rankperyear". Am I correct?
If so, it means that the coach's only job is to make the player fulfill his/her potential much earlier than expected, and that's all. I wish it were a little more difficult than this
