General discussions about the 1st version of Tennis Elbow Manager

another travel bug

This one is seriously annoying. I am playing on the Masters' level with four players under contract. This week they are playing four different tournaments. One of them got injured for eight days. She received the message that she would not be able to play her next singles match, but did NOT receive a message that she could not play her next doubles match. Instead, another player AT A DIFFERENT TOURNAMENT received the message that she could not play her next doubles match, then it asked me whether I wanted to fly her home. Because I lost track of which one was injured (just as the computer had, apparently), I let her fly home. The problem is that she wasn't injured and was still alive in both the singles and doubles ladders of her own tournament (and she really needed the money). Meanwhile, the player who was injured is so far stuck at her site. The game hasn't asked if I want her sent home (which I do).

To bring up again a previous problem, twice in two weeks yet another player, who was traveling with me (the coach) had first round exits. Both times the game asked if I wanted her to fly to her next tournament immediately, and both times I said yes. Arriving at each of these next tournaments she had 12 hours of training time left, but it wouldn't allow her to do technical or mental skill training because 'there is no one to train you'. Both times as soon as the week turned it did allow such training. Before you ask, I know I was with the player. She paid for my trip, and there was no one else for me to fly with.

…and now the uninjured player who was sent home, who was traveling with her own trainer, is also being told that there is no one to train her! Yes, her trainer is with her at the training center (though he won't be for long, because she no longer has the money to pay him!).

Last update for this bug: The following day the player who was actually injured received her notice that she could no longer play doubles. The game asked if I wanted to send her home immediately. I clicked 'yes'. She arrived with 12 hours of training still coming to her. I tried mental training, and the same trainer who could not train the player he was traveling with was more than happy to do the job. :?

*sigh*

[Trainer not there]
Humm, I think I found the bug.
Actually, the trainer travels only at the end of the day, when all players already played their matches, so he'll know who leave the tournament & pay for his trip; but the player comes back directly.

Now, I changed that so the trainer will be in both places at same time... It's a bit strange, but it's needed due to the way the game handling time to facilitate the use of training hours.

I'll update the version on the website in a few days.
Meanwhile, you just have to wait all players to play their matches on the same day you travel, + the 1st match on another day, to be sure the trainer has traveled to his new destination.

[Wrong player injured]
the 1st player who got the injury message, was it Emily ?

No, the one who was the first person I contracted with (in week 5 of the first year). The one who received the message she should not have gotten was the last one I contracted with. Emily was the only one to remain at her site and continue playing.

I am going to have to sign up with your site so I can edit my messages. That was a mess, so I will try again.

Player two was the one who got injured, and she received the first notification (and the third, the next day). Player four, who was not injured, received the second notification on the day of player two's injury.

The first notification was about player two not being able to continue in singles. The third was about the same player not being able to continue in doubles. I do not remember which one player four was notified of, but it may have been both, since she was still alive in the quarterfinals of both.
