Online Drop Shot Bug

When the opponent hits a drop-shot, and my guy runs to it, he slows down massively
This is a huge problem, as it makes drop-shots unreturnable as unless i hit it with no direction or power, he wont get it at all

I, too, have spoken about this "slowness" issue with getting my player to the drop shot...not only in on-line games, but in regular CPU play...

I'm not an authority on this subject, so following are just my comments based on my assumptions.
Possibly auto-positioning is set too high? I have this setting at Slow. Also, I have found that if I keep the movement controls active (keep running to the ball) even when it seems as though I will never make it, many times I return the drop shot. When trying to reach these balls, I don't worry so much about trying to stop in the green zone or whatever. I just run and keep running, and with a drop shot that is almost out of reach, I have little time to prepare my return shot, but at least I can return the ball. So, that is what I would try: set auto-positioning to Average or Slow and don't release the movement controls when running to the ball.
