Everybody with issue,
does it happen only when playing online, or also when playing against the CPU..?
If someone could do a video with his smartphone, maybe it'd give me some hints about what's going on... :fear:
Note: if you wonder, now I still can't get Win10, and even if I could, at this point I can't upgrade because I have some programs that are not compatible with Win10, so I'll have to install it on my 2nd PC and I won't have time to deal with that before a little while... :sweat:

Rob92,
I checked your System.log and it's crashing in the NVidia Drivers, so there's nothing I can do... Maybe future drivers will fix this, but it's unlikely : FSAA support has been dropped since many years because now most games use Deferred lighting which prevents use of FSAA, so they switched to FXAA (which is less beautiful but way faster).

Heinrich von Westphalen,
how come you reported at 1st it was working without any issue and now you have many issues ? Did you change anything ?

Nigogu,
the DirectX version that matters is the one used by the game, which is DX8 for TE2013... ;)
The detected version can't be above 9 due to the way DirectX works, and anyway, only DX9 is used for DirectPlay, everything else is DX8.

Problem exists even playing vs cpu. There is a weird slowdown in many moments of the game...

I just noticed a surprising thing ...
If I play Tennis Elbow when I record with FRAPS in 60fps with the option: Lock framerate while recording, the game runs fluidly without stutters. But if I stop to record the game (if I normally play), the stutters recomes...
I hope you understand me, if no, I can explain in french.

Hello everyone.

My game has always worked great under Windows 7. I recently went on the 10 and worries emerged.
So when I want to run the game in full screen, I get an error "Can't Initialize display" . When I run in a window , no worries .
The problem is that when I do a clean install , I get to run the game in full screen , but I install a patch (Sat , ITST or maxou ) the problem returns . There must be some thing in the tennis.ini but no way to find it.

Yeah this issue isn't going away. Unfortunately I don't want to try to play the game with Fraps recording gameplay.

It's stuttering and all, but in some fast paced arcade rallies the game is even skipping frames. I kind of got used to it, but I wish it was fixed.

Everybody with issue,
are you running the game in the native resolution of your monitor ? If not, try to switch to it. Possibly, enter it manually in your Tennis.ini before launching the game, with Width & Height under [Display] (because in-game change might crash), and if you need to switch to fullscreen change this line from :
Window = 1
to :
Window = 0

Tom292,
then I guess you're good to play the game in windowed mode for a while.
In your Tennis.ini, you can set, under [Display] :
Window = 2
to get a borderless (but not titleless) window.

Manutoo, When do you think you will be able to test the game on Windows 10? :)

Nopa69,
I finally found a way to bypass the waiting queue for Win10 and managed to install it on my old PC. Result, TE2013 seems to be working perfectly both in windowed & fullscreen modes..! :yes:

So people who have issues, then I guess you're out of luck, except if you can deep analysis what's going on on your PCs... :fear:

EDIT: 2 hints :
- turn off your antivirus, and any other background program that may be using CPU regularly
- raise TE2013 execution priority in the Task Manager

I guess maybe it's because you did a fresh installation of Windows. I think most of us just upgraded with windows update from the queue you mentioned.
I'll be doing that in about 2 weeks so maybe that will fix it. I'll definitely report back, then, cause more people will upgrade to Windows 10 and they might have problems too in the future.
Or it could be the Windows 10 certified WHQL drivers, who knows. I haven't tried the older drivers for the sake of TE but maybe another driver update could fix it.

Then a fresh installation of Tennis Elbow should fix it, but it doesn't.

I don't want to lose everything on my pc because of this. There has to be way to fix it.

Uchiha Muss,
I upgraded from Win7 ; it was not a fresh install, I still have my settings and everything ; from what happened, I think it was similar than the classic upgrade process, except I downloaded the files (almost) manually.

But I have some small issues with Win10 : my start button & the right click on taskbar don't work ; after a quick research, it may be linked to a Win10 wrong update or to my antivirus. Not that you should care about my start button, but it means Win10 is still young and some issues might get fixed in the incoming weeks by new versions of drivers, antivirus, and Win10 updates. :)

And thanks in advance for your report, if you do decide to do a Win10 fresh install.

Another thing to try,
if the stuttering is small and constant : check your monitor refresh rate is 60hz (and not 59 or 75hz) ; 120hz should be ok as well.
