Postby ian411 » 01 Feb 2009, 10:22

Ok i changed the player stats in atp.ini and loaded tennis elbow back up and my save data was now invalid and now i was i called Marc Limon and the system log said:

Warning: too much Players for World Tour in 'Data\Players.ATP.Ini' (Max = 500)
Warning: Savefile 'Profiles\Default\Tour00.sav' doesn't have same NbPlayerTotal (2914, it should be = 501) !!
Warning: Savefile 'Profiles\Default\Tour00.sav' doesn't have same NbPlayerTotal (2914, it should be = 501) !!
Warning: Savefile 'Profiles\Default\Tour00.sav' doesn't have same NbPlayerTotal (2914, it should be = 501) !!

Why is this happening and is there anyway i can stop this from happening and retrieve my world tour saves?

Hello,

check that u have these lines at the start of your Players.ATP.ini :
[WT_Static]
MaxPlayer = 3000
FirstYear = 1990
LastYear = 2025

Add them if they are not there anymore.

And check that MaxPlayer isn't specified later on in the file => it should be set only once in the whole file.

Hello,

if u change a Rank within the RankPerYear list, it doesn't invalidate your saved games, but if you add or remove a rank within the RankPerYear list, then it'll invalidate your saved games.

So did u check u have the "MaxPlayer = 3000" line in ur .ini ?
As long as u see this line in the System.log : "Warning: too much Players for World Tour in 'Data\Players.ATP.Ini' (Max = 500)" ; it means the "MaxPlayer = 3000" line wasn't found in ur .ini ...

Is every new player in the World Tour named "Marc Limon" or is that just a default name given if we don't specify one? How many "Marc Limons" can there be? :)

"Marc Limon" is the default name given to your player by the game engine when it can't load the current saved game & need to start a new game... :)
