TE2013 unplayable on laptop since last update

Postby rogernadal » 01 Mar 2014, 12:40

Dear friends,

Since the new patch arrived for Tennis Elbow, the game has become unplayable on the laptop. I have tried the game on another laptop as well, which results in the same problem. On a desktop everything seems fine, but I don't have a desktop myself.
As soon as I start a match, everything is normal for about 30 seconds but then suddenly becomes unplayable since everything "lags" (that's how I would describe it the best). Uninstall, fresh install don't work, tried multiple times. I think it has something to do with a program bug. Hasn't anyone else encountered this problem since the new patch?

Could you please look into this issue, or else I sincerely would like to ask for a refund since I am unable to play the game.

Best regards,

RogerNadal.

Hello,

could you try to add this line, in your Tennis.ini (or the .ini of your Profile), under [Game] :
TimePolling = 1
then save it and check what happens in game, then close game, then change 1 to 2 and save it again & launch game again, and tell me what is better..?
Also, display the FPS (from "Misc Options" menu), and tell me if it's much different from 60 or not.
Alternatively, turning off your CPU speedstep should fix the issue.

EDIT 2015:
The line "TimePolling = 0" should be already in the .ini , so change it instead of adding a new one.

Hello,

I've set TimePolling = 2 and now it works fine again. Thanks! You can close the topic.

Manutoo when i play the game on my computer it's really smooth and fine and all, however when i play on my laptop i feel like it's slow-ish,lagging,i can't really run and there's a time delay between the time i press a button and when the player starts moving to a side.I feel like a cow on ice to say so

Serena Williams,
if you have 60 fps, it means the game is probably running fine, but you may have an issue with your laptop screen => it's lagging , ie: it has a slow response time, which is common for cheap & old laptops.

OK,another thing i noticed:when i playedin windowed mode it was smooth, but when windowed mode was off it was laggy...I was also ,,losing control over the game" since everytime i'd press the button to serve or play a shot or run it make a wird noise on my aptop and it would lag and stop until i release the button...

pasangamage,
what do you mean by "freezing" ? The game stops to work completely ? If so, it might be a heating problem, or possibly your PC goes into sleep mode if you play with a pad.

Serena Williams,
I tested on my laptop in fullscreen mode & didn't have any issue. Maybe check the power mode doesn't go in saving mode or something like that... Also, try to assign other keys.
