Mido was tottally defetable for me. I knew what I was playing in practices after our last match. I was able to fight with so many players even above 2000 and noticed some wins against them. As I mentioned, I feel that without those dropshots I could have won. Mido, hope to see you next time in my draw and kick your ass (joke) Two 3-sets defeats are too much ;-]

Now I switched from clay to new syntehtic and change tactic of practicing. I dont care about results of matches (mostly 06 xD). Im focusing on doing as many offence as I can do. Now it is 10 UE per one winner and Im giving many elo points to my opponents but I think thats going better than playing safely. I should aim at level which is totally unachievable for me now. I wont make any improve if I'm going to use only what I can do now and what is safe in practice. Practice is about doing mistakes and finding their reason not about result. Hope to see some progress in positioning for shots and knowledge about risk of shots.

I involved good way to catalyze bad feeling of being useless. Each time Im kind of down in the dumps I start here writing messege about my quiting. Before I finish and press send -> that feeling disappear.

I promissed myself that I'll write here report after i finish Australia trip

I practiced a lot during offseason. When in december settings of tour changed I took this as a face value. I fell next upgrades of game lowered value of good service and attack, and give so many strenght to topspin, and defensive players.
I didnt made my main goal for off season - i didnt pass 2000 elo. The 2nd goal was to beat in Australia trip opponent from top100 which i didnt achieve too. At the beggining of year I wasnt sure where is my play, now i think its still close to place where it was in November. Hope I'll be able to make even a little step during next month.

R2: lost Nadi madi (1) 0/6 0/6

When I saw draw I wanted so strong to play against Nadi. Best players dont play practices with 1900elo guys, so such a draw is nice opportunity to watch titans in action. Our match was such a beating as i expected. (25-9, 25-9 in points with my stats W-UE : 10-24). Still no match to show me where I am.

R1: lost Ever 4/6 2/6

I expected here closer match, but since I lost first set wasting a breakpoint for *5-5 I lost my nerves. In second set i tried to be more agressive, but he had great defense and i made large bunch of UE (26-35). The match was influenced a lot with my weak service. I made 7 DF with 5 winning ones. I wasnt able to do my top level play which probably wasnt enough to win even a set here.

My main goal. Points from GS are counting all 52 weeks and I was so focuesd on practicing this week.

I had luck, luck and luck. Thx for gaylondon for this W.O. (he wasnt able to join game) and sorry for Tatishivili ( we didnt play our match before deadline).

Then I met federer38 who is on similiar level with me. We played first set in saturday. I had many problems with returning his service but i was able to break him once when he had problems with 1st one. We made a break after 6/4 1/1 - cause he was going to work. Then i watched replay, made statistics about directions of his service and which direction he chooses for my return. It worked perfectly. In sunday i won 11 games, and lost only 2. Each set i played better and better (39-30;36-19;25-12) Still he is solid player. When it was 6/4 6/2 5/0 he gave me an exhausting run for my money. I wish i had such a mental skills. Then I met Roger. I wrote about his great play in AO Singles topic. Awesome, perfect return destroyed my mentality in first set. I served my best - both serves did in 1st serve way with only 2 DF. Average speed - 201 km/h, close to lines and i won only 30% of points with my service. Conclusion was one - its impossible to me to win if i cant hold service. I was so angry and dispair in 2nd set and i won only 2 points (in fact this is my worse set in Tour career despite i played twice with guys from top10). In third one i promised myself that im going try put as much agression as i only have. (I usually in my mind count UE as a double lost, avoiding short angles, hard shots). Finally I won 2 games. (25-9;24-2;30-18) He is great player, I will follow his results.

Still, 4th round of Grand Slam is a heaven for such a begginer as me. 180 points for all season. Im such an overrated now. I didnt won single match with guy from top100 but I'll be top 100 now. I must prove it in next tournaments!

Guys, I need help. SInce I moved to cement court I cant hit single winner. Everything is achievable for my opponents and attacks of their defensive shots are going mostly to out. Even my strongest inside out is achievable. And in stats im typicall powerfull baseliner with 0% topspin.

Mates, something sad happened to me today. Im not the best player here, I dont have many free time to play and practicing, Im working, studying at unversity, but im really keen on play here trying to have some fun.

This weekend is extraordinary hard for me. Im in middle of my univeristy exams and have not so many free time. Today I tried to play match in Bournie challanger with Mashapova Por.
After 15 minutes of our play it was totally clear that im worse (0-5 and only 8 points won) and as kindly as I can I said to my opponent, 'sorry, thats pointless, youre much better player, good luck in next rounds'. What I done was really aimed in saving time, but with all of appreciation and courtesy. Did i really made something devil bad? He offended me a lot on chat, on skype, few times threatened me with banishment. Tried to sorry, but all I gain in response was insult.

i said its not cool to give up just because ur opponent its better.Wasnt offensive just said its not fairness and sportsmanship as we all should play our matches its looser behaviour. We should all start a match and play unless there is a higher and plausable reason no one liks to eb waiting here hours for an oppoenntn and then the opponent gives up just because he's better than you. Sorry if u took it personally but telling me to grow up because i asked for a full fair match man isn't good. All of the luck

I study too 6 days a week i know how hard is to play but im ehre to enjoy and have fun not fight as im ehre just to pass some time, so i like to play he matches till the last point, look at Nadal today he's the perfect example of sportsmanship and fairness. Hope u dont give up again just because ur oppoennt is better, does'n't give you a good image you could just told me that you couldn't play or hd a lot of things to do. Some fresh news.

This week I played for the first time ever Davis Cup as a member of Polish team. It brougth so many emotions for me. Poland (me and GoAga) faced Romania (Sorana + JK_Honda). From the very begining it was clear that doubles match is for Sorana (he plays doubles on a top10 level now) and that GoAga and Sorana play in their own league, and me with JK in another one. So the result depended on matches GoAga vs Sorana and me vs JK.
GoAga did a great job with defeating opponent and then it came my match with JK. For me this was such an important match because of 3 facts:
- the result of Pol-Rom depended on it
- it was an opportunity to defeat an opponent from top100
- there was also opportunity to break 2000 ELO for the first time
We played in friday evening. He had better ELO (2050 with my 1950), but week ago in practice I won 62. After 3 sets i was losing 1-2. We made break because of lags. I was destroyed mentally, totally lost believe in fact that I can win here. After 2 hours we continued our match, and I break him in first game. I won 4th set, and then lead in 5th 5-3. Pressure was too high. I served for the match then I made 2 DF and lost my service. But pressure was on both sides. When he was serving for making a tie 5-5, he lost his nerves. I closed match with my first matchpoint. I never thought match here can be sooo exhausting. 1h20m of play, whole time under pressure. I went sleep as soon as the match finished. 67(6) 63 26 64 64 was heaven for me this day. First win with guy from top100, making my team going through, only I didnt pass 2000elo. Still I should follow my rabbit.

Even next day I felt some kind of incovinience in wrists and fingers. I played with Sorana but there wasnt chance. He made giga progress since our last match that I won. Kind of frustrating when youre helpless with everyhing. 38% of points was done with his winner with my only 11%. There is something in my service probably. He was next guy able to finish points with return easily.

Im happy I contribute to win of Poland over Romania. Now Im playing in Zagreb with hard draw for me. Ill try my best.

Hi guys, I just back to this topic to write something to you.
Today, after 9 months I played ma last match in tour and finished my little career .
Its not an impuls, its a thought that grown up in me during last months.

Thats enough I should give up for my mental health. I wont ever be solid player and this game since few months made each of my evening so sad.
I knew that I wont be top 50 instantly in a month or two, but i believed that playing and practicing will allow me to do some little steps.
And I believed each of this step will make me more keen on this game. Now I see that it doesnt work in this way.

I practiced a lot during this 9 months but now im aware of fact that its not only abour practice. Its about your skills and Im not able to pass my peak which is actually low comparing to another players.
Its about 3 and half a month since I won my last match in tour. Thats kinda embarrasing for guy who played here 1500 matches.
That doesnt bring me fun but only some kind of pain and feeling of useless. Its really enough. It influenced my mood too much.
Its such a dramatic story of beeing so keen on challenging here and beeing so depressed about my own skills. I dont blame the game (for god sake this game is soooo goood) i blame me, my mind and my unability to handle defeats.
Considering that I know that this game wont bring me nothing positive but only frustration in future, and even in hurts I know I should do it.

Heinrich you are going to have better student than me ( I read in another topic that you described yourself as a 'not good player'. Comeon! Youre the best I ever met here! You even dont know how many times I played our matches in replay to watch your movement and shots ). Sorry that I wasted your time.
Also GoAga, you are developing so fast and so good. One day I bageled you and week after you let me win only 5 points against your 24 Youre on fire, I hope you are going to be great player. Im sorry that now Im not able to challange you and give you solid practice since months;-)
Mido, thanks for warm words today. I lost to you 3 times in 3 sets, and really wanted to defeat you some day, but youre developing in very fast way and outperform me easily .

In the subject of this topic I asked what is the distance between newbie and first won match. I wanted to show how totally newbie can transform into solid player to show all the guys starting play here that it is worth to practice and try. And for god sake, Im not the best example of this Better look on Sorana, GoAga, Mido, Kirilenko etc ;-].
Dont be Kroppe and dont give up ;-] at least as long as you have some fun from playing here.
