karim def Alen 5-7 7-6(3) 7-6(4) :(

I took a break from the Tour. My last tournament was WIM, and perhaps it would have been better if I wouldn't have joined this tournament yesterday. I played pretty bad, maybe because I changed my style from counter to PB (big mistake) anyway he deserved to win :applause:

congrats and gl against Mario :jap:

R1: Mario (8) def. Kimiko Date Krumm 6/2 6/0
It definitely wasn't his day, he was missing every possible shot so all I had to do is to keep the ball in play as long as possible.

R2: Mario (8) def. karim 6/2 4/1 ret.
It was tight till 2/2 when I managed to break him. After the break I played better and better and he had no chance. 2nd set at 4/1 there was a huge lag, I offered him to re-host the game he decided to retire. Fair enough to him.
Need geographical tour asap.

lopsa def. HAAS 6/4 6/1

I think this was the first time I played the game since the US Open, so it wasn't very pretty. I couldn't return anything in the first set, then he missed a few serves and I broke at 4-4 and then held serve. Second set I got in his service games a bit better, and was able to pull through. Well, it was a good break from TE but now I'm back, hopefully I'll play better in the next round. He is fair and a good guy and he played pretty good, he just needed more luck. Good game and good luck!

I gave Jelana a W.O after trying to play it was a disaster the ping was about 2XX in averge we played but she insisted on 117 ms, it wasn't very good conditions she couldn't play in higher delay but the lag was still heavy so I gave her a Wo. GG and GL in the future !

Quarterfinal: Mario (8) def. Jelena Jankovic (1) 6/3 7/6(4)
Battle of the serves. 2 break points in whole match, 1 for me and 1 for him. I converted mine in first and saved it in 2nd set with a service. He was more aggressive, he had 7 winners more than me but he also had 9 mistakes more than me. First set was very good for me, having only 3 errors while he had 13. I started missing lot of balls in 2nd and he also started to play much better and making less mistakes. We both had 15-30 on last games but we couldn't get close to the break points. Overall, satisfied with the perfomance, good game and good luck next time. :D

yassinee,
you didn't have to give Jelana a WO coz he didn't want to play with a Delay above 117ms. In such case, you could have taken the WO.
