Temes, I mean he is beatable and I can pass him enough for a break once in a set, I think so...

It's just his choice how to play, for me it's not a problem to pass him, I mean Florijan do not take it as an insult but I just say that everyone is beatable, no matter where, anywere and in this situation for Dr.Ivo at the net...

Sure i wont take it as an insult, i even mentioned it in my previous post

Jelena Jankovic def. Dr.Ivo 7-6 7-6

I can't remember what results were in the tie breaks. Overall, I played well, but I had problems with my return and his good serve, I had several break points, but didn't use them. He didn't use ballons, lobs and so on, but I had the feeling like he was deliberately making net cords. GG and GL!

Jelena Jankovic def. Dr.Ivo 7-6(4),7-6(5)! :D

He really deserved it, he was better player, more superior on serve and that was the key...he didnt make any errors with his groundstrokes and that made my life tougher :P :)

1.set...we got strong with serving but at 2-1 i had my only half-chance on his serve in whole match with deuce, but he responded good :applause: ...and then we got to first break point game at 3-3, he had 30-40 but i saved it and from then on we held easily till the tiebreak...in the tiebreak he made mini-break on the very first point when i missed a volley and he held his serve for 7-4 score! :blackeye: :applause:

2.set...well, here it was tougher for me on serve, he was more threatening and got to 15-40 at 3-2 but my serve saved me and i managed to get to 3-3 and then we held comfortably again until it came to another breaker decision...he made a move early there at 1-0 when he used my 2nd serve to rape a return winner...and then at 3-1 i won my first and only point in the both tiebreaks with a very lucky net cord  ...but at 3-3 he guessed where my serve will go and raped another return winner to go up 4-3, he held his 2 serves and i did the same and on his 3rd match point we played a bit longer rally where he prevailed with a backhand crosscourt winner! :applause: :applause: :D

My serve and volleying was brilliant today like during the whole tournament and i got to the breakers cause of that  ...and about net cords, how could i do it deliberately, if this would be possible everybody would be doing it on every point...i have bigger number of net cords because of my weak return so it catches the net sometimes, sorry for that Zeka, i really didnt mean to  :D :bounce:

It was great to play in my first final and get the world no.3 to the distance in both sets! i hope more finals are about to come...congrats man for your 12th title and GL in the rest of the season! :D

lol...nice topic...wish my player wasn't drinking coffee at the net for the only minibreak in the 3rd set  But he's very hard to break, harder than 1-2 months ago  About the no shot + rushing the net, I think he did that around 4 times with me, but he won just 1 point 'cause he guessed which side I would hit my short shot :fear: Cya guys at USO

No, you were actually just GOOD at net. Even when net play was difficult and realistic you were successful there.

Now net play is a joke. I serve and volleyed as a 160 cm player, and beat a master this way. I am not so good at net. This shows that something should be changed with net play.
