What a shame. I'm not happy about this match. But he is number one and knew that it will be tough match. Expected result, but I wanted more. Still a good tournament for me. Good luck S.Williamz, I hope you will win this tournament again.

Well the first set I played horrible, but the 2nd set I started being more aggressive and was able to hold serve better at least, but I couldn't do the same in the tiebreak. Good match anyway. I know he'll win the tournament. Well, I'm off to the dirt!

We have had better matches, he played really bad in the first, in the second he was more himself, and on the other hand I felt I played very well, especially in the first. We'll see what will happen when we get on clay.

Thanks for uploading.
The first set from S.Williamz was amazing. He was ALWAYS in perfect position, and never falsely reacts to a shot. I don't know how one does that with the various amount of lag online.
2nd set, he showed some signs of being human, and Togt aggressiveness especially at net with short volleys was the only thing that seemed to throw off S.Williamz timing.
It's a tough match for Togt, whose natural game is to defend, which he's obviously very very good at. But you can't defend against someone who is perfect 99% of the time.

You really read my mind there. That's exactly what I think when I play him. I am able to beat pretty much everyone else by playing my normal game, but I can't do that against him. Then again, it could be a different story on clay. And by the way, it's Tog, not Togt.

Okay, now I see you can beat me using your B game, don't even bother to playing against me like THAT!

Yeah, I played absolutely horrible today.

The gameplay was extremely slow in general... that cost me a lot
Anyway, Ero, good luck in the next round.

I completely agree with Edberg, this bogus style of play needs to be stamped out

agree, lobs on rally and on return are the most annoying thing on the game, and it's effective

they give more time to recover but lobbing on almost every shot is unrealistic, annoying and really senseless in some way

Lobs in rallies are a cheap play and should be banned. It's not as bad as it was in '06 since you CAN remain in attack off them, but there's still much unnecessary risk in doing so. Unless Manu makes the smash off the bounce much more effective, it should be banned. Lobs on returns... there's a case because it's the only decent defensive option we have.
Not suggesting Richard Gasquet 2 is a dirty player, though. I've played him a few times, he does know many of the tricky shots, but he's generally a fair player.
