that's the problem  it's so easy to do a lob and get back to the point
it's not that, they are just annoying, not harder, it's not a big deal to get rid of those crappy lobs some people do, maybe not an inmediate winner but being smart and patient you'll win anyways
now it seems like i'm defending the lob-using game but i'm not

1.- They are easy shots to deal with so it's senseless
2.- It shows you can't defend normally so you need to do a shot that gives you more time to prepare the next shot, thus it means a mental plus on your opponent, i think
3.- some people seems to only use lobs, they'll never improve if they keep on doing that
4.- it's unrealistically easy to do lobs on rally
5.- it's even more unrealistically easy to do lobs on return
well, this was even worse some builds ago so...

*specially because of point 3 is why i'm against of lobs

ok, next time you see somebody in real life professional do a lob from the baseline, on purpose(not a misshit),not a scramble or recovery shot, while the opponent is on the baseline, we will stop moaning. Since this will never happen in mens or womans tennis, we will all be moaning for many months to come :D

Practice will not help. The game doesn't allow you to attack overheads from the baseline like you should, even if you have 100% smash. It's nothing but a cheap play to get you back in the point instead of relying on great defense.

Embrace this new challenge and if u conquer it then u are truly the best whernu can win from baseline and lobs yes?

That's true to a point. Usually lesser players use these tactics, and I beat them anyway. But, when against an even opponent, it can make a huge difference. I had a match today vs. player here, a better attacker than I am, he starts using lobs when I'm serving at 4-5 and I get broken. Controllers were thrown.

It does happen in rallies... mostly with clay court specialist females. The difference is that those balls can be attacked by the opponent.

Eronakold def. Richard Gasquet 2 7/6(3) 6/4

This was the most horrible TE experience in my whole life. I never thought I would ever see something like this in TE.
First of all the lag was ridiculous, it made me go totally crazy. One the other side his game irritated me a bit, his lobs and drops were not easy to handle.
Anyway, I'm happy I won and that it's finally over. I hope i don't have to play him soon again.

Just watch any match of Wozniacki, she keeps playing these funny floating balls several times a match during rallies.

I, too, find that excessive lobbing can be a sly way to annoy one's opponent, and in most cases deducts technical and aesthetic merit, and sportsmanship from one's game. It does happen, however, in professional tennis. Remember that legendary 1989 Roland Garros final between Michael Chang and Ivan Lendl, where Chang hit one after another "moon ball" to push Lendl's patience to the limit? It turned out that the controversial tactic worked its charm for Chang. I found another clip on youtube that shows how a pinch of "variety" play from Conchita Martinez can quickly evolve into a nightmare for Jelena Dokic: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oVwlZApl8dk Laud or trash Conchita for all her guilefulness, but please DO NOT attempt this in TE 2009! Stay warned!

S.Williamz d. Eronakold 6-1 6-3

Mmmhmm interesting match...there were some nice rallies, especially in the second where he played better...there were a little lag sometimes which created weird moments lol...I recorded the match if someone wants to see it.
