Sorry i've not being around modding for a while so many questions pending around here..

wjdygert wrote:1 How has the ability to hit the ball on the run been changed? I can finally play properly as Ferrer and Nadal without a massively boosted 'net skill' stat, and the players in general hit the ball much more realistically as they move than in the Sam's Patch version I've been playing.

Well not sure why you have this feeling but the mod gameplay setup is pretty specific, locked on slow-autopos, and using a low run acceleration (lower tonicity) wich
renders the last auto-positionning overall less effective/intrusive so that your character does'n't move that much automatically when you hit a shot button at the end of a run, not sure it's more effective to hit clean shots but imo it feels more natural in such situations.

wjdygert wrote:2 Are there any career mode patches that use your gameplay/animations settings?

No.

wjdygert wrote:3 Some of your tournaments don't have ideal courts to play on or are mislabeled. Shanghai for instance only offers an outside court, several tournaments (IW, Miami and Rome for example) offer no day version for their center court, and the US Open's Arthur Ashe is mistakenly called Louis Armstrong.

Right, i'll try to remember it for the wrong labels @ US Open for 1.16. About the other courts, i don't necessarily choose to include the larger center court but moreover the best 2D cam i can find, as the mod is designed toward playing online tournaments the priority is always to have the players cumfortable to play their matches as much as possible.

wjdygert wrote:4 Can you provide a link for a net-less version of your Paris-Bercy court? This is the first 2d Paris court that I've found playable thanks to the camera angle. It looks like it's about three years old, so I'm assuming you guys also decided it's a keeper. I'd like to be able to try it outside this patch if possible.

Yep, like i wrote above, always looking for the more enjoyable cam. Can't remember who did this one but indeed it's a pretty old one.
Here you go : http://www.mediafire.com/?qh0mc8g0md677iy

You can also check the courts from LasVenturasTO13 here : topic29-13433.php , i think he provided some good
cams for Bercy and O² arena.

wjdygert wrote:5 Are the players supposed to be realistically strong/weak or has there been an effort to reduce differences in ability? You talk about this in the OP post, but I can't tell if you made the players unnaturally similar in ability or just avoided making certain players unrealistically overpowered.

Well as the mod is used for an online competition the principal goal is character balance. Of course it's pretty difficult to maintain style differences but we try to have different characters 'archetypes' wich plays out differently, still maintaining an acceptable balance. It may not be obvious but this part is the more time consuming work around this mod ;) Of course we don't want all the characters being similar, so obviously it's necessary to deviate from reality or everyone would use the Top 4 of course, so some players may be stronger or weaker than their real world counterpart in some areas. In the end the balance is never perfect, but close enough to have a player winning Grand Slams with Lopez or Gasquet :) Some characters of course may be a bit superior, but even if the weaker ones may represent a challenge to play with, they usually aren't weak enough so that in good hands they still can have success.

Arvin97 wrote:Hi is it possible to change the anims from a player, because now I can't modify my player when I start a career mode.

buli.92 wrote:I'm sorry, but I'm using google translator. Is it possible to put a server on the same players, so you can upload them and play as a club training? Because I downloaded the patch, but there are no tennis players.

Lucas Lodi wrote:One question, Ref the anims of lucian in their players? regards

About animations affected to characters : they are locked in the mod. The choices are not always made regarding cosmetic looks / visuals. But also considering the gameplay effectiveness and general feeling using an animation, that's why some characters doesn't have their dedicated animation binded, or not the very last version. Again, cause the mod also serves an online competition and several mod users/competitors are used to an anim and won't welcome an anim change so easily, especially if they feel an anim may feel less cumfortable to use.

In the past i released a free/unlocked test mod version. Though i forgot to do it for 1.15, and then summer cames.. so there ain't any unlocked version for now.
But in regard to the next 1.16, i'm planning to release it at the same time, in the same bundle install, with the new mod installation technique Manutoo provided,
so 1.16 should bring a standard 1.16 mod, along with a 'freemod' 1.16 version in wich you will be able to modify anything you want, from stats, online setup preferences, animations.

Davide Menez wrote:Hi Elias ,
I heard in a topic about recorded TE , that you used Dxtory . But when I use " Dxtory Video Codec " , the size of my video is too high ( ex : 3 minutes with 1,3GB  )
I have to accept it or we have some another config to lower the size ?
Thanks :D

No you don't have to accept it hopefully :)
You can set up DxTory to use a different codec (wich you installed on your system) to encode when capturing on the fly, that's the great thing about it.
So, depending your computer/cpu power, i would advise to use x264 (you need the video for windows 'vfw' version) with it, or if it's too much
power consuming for your cpu, then you may use XviD.

you can find x264 vfw at several places, eg : http://sourceforge.net/projects/x264vfw/ , http://www.digital-digest.com/software/ ... Codec.html .
After installing it on your system you will find it available in DxTory encoding options. You may still have to play with x264 encoding options to find a good,
fast enough setup to encode on the fly at a decent framerate.

Re: ITST Online Mod v. 1.15 - 18/06/2013

Postby Wolfe » 06 Oct 2013, 14:24

Great patch, thanks for this!

The only problem I find is finding others who use it that actually want to play!

I tried all Saturday and connected to only 2 games (others refused me, maybe playing tournament game with another) then both users left after there service games before I had even got a service in. Or maybe it is because of my ELO (only around 1050) plus low amount of games online (around 40) as I only recently (this Friday night) started to play online. I wanted to practice with it online before I would commit to any tournaments. You should be allowed to promote this more, it's a shame that demo users cannot afford to buy the game or simply do not realize how great this mod is (not just the mod itself but the tournament you run) or offline career mode can be too. Especially with a good offline mod.

In my opinion demo users should only be allowed 30 days evaluation time online with the vanilla game, by that time they are hooked and will buy the game (to keep their ELO record I am sure, if they are good) but at present (correct me if I am wrong as I am not 100% sure as I only played Tennis Elbow a few weeks) they can play online continuously and compete in the official world tour online. Sorry to rant on, just my thoughts on what could make this mod more widely used.

One last thought and opinion, wouldn't it be great if you and the game creator got together and combined your tour's into one making online tournaments more populated and fun for all.

That's because you're playing pure online game where everyone can make their player too powerful. I'm sure you might be having desyncs as well. Try ITST 1.15 MOD. It's the best mod for online and tournaments. For offline Sam Megapatch 2013 is the best.[/quote]

This patch has some errors. The net is a tennisball and two arrows. I dont know what i did wrong. Please help:) I did all steps:

. You need Tennis Elbow 2013 v1.0a or above ; no help will be provided for older versions !
1. Make a fresh new installation of TE in a different folder than your original one. CHECK
2. Delete the Sound folder in there. CHECK
3. Extract the .rar file with WinRAR. CHECK
4. Place the folder "Sam Megapatch 2013" in your Mods folder. (to get this folder to appear you need to start the game once then it will appear) CHECK
5. Place the "scripts" folder within "Sam Megapatch 2013", so it will look like this: "Mods\Sam Megapatch 2013\Scripts". CHECK
6. Copy everything from Courts ATP to Data (Mods) and you are good to go. (I AM NOT SURE WHAT TO DO HERE)
7. Launch the game & in "Video" options, set "3D Court" to "off" & "Details" to "Very Low". WHAT DETAILS? RESOLUTION 720x600?

Thanks

Here's a better explanation.
1. Download latest TE 13 and have the Sam megapatch 1.0 and 1.1 files.
2. Delete the sound folder like he said.
3. Ok Unrar and just keep the files.
4. Here's what I did after. Go to Mods folder. Create an empty folder and name it Sam Megapatch 2013.
5. Copy Scripts from 1.1 to Sam Megapatch 2013 folder.
6. Copy Sound folder if you have it to Sam Megapatch 2013 folder again.
7. Now pay attention: Copy Data folder from 1.0 to Sam Megapatch 2013. Copy Tour.ATP.ini from Data folder from 1.1. replace it.
9. Copy Courts ATP folder from 1.1. Paste it to following location:
Sam Megapatch 2013/. Copy every court from Courts ATP folder and paste them to these 2 folders: Sam Megapatch 2013/Data. Tennis Elbow 2013/Data. you have to paste 3 times to 3 locations.
10. Copy players.ATP.ini from 1.0 and paste it to Sam Megapatch/Data folder.

Have your screen resolution anything you want doesn't matter

If you have more questions ask away.

Scoreboard should show up. Edit tennis.ini file in main tennis elbow 2013 folder. But yeah serve speed, strike speed I don't know how to show them.
