This is my favourite Classic Court but MAN! thats hard to play Navratilova ( a net-biting leftie )

US OPEN 1977 Forest Hills nightmatch

This was the third and final year in which the US Open was played on american clay courts and it was the last year the championship was played at the Forest Hills location before moving to Flushing Meadows.
Believe it or not: some fans are sitting ON-COURT just a few feet behind the players !

The Pepsi Grand Slam was a men's tennis tournament played as part of the Grand Prix circuit from 1976–1981.
The tournament was played in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina in 1976 and Boca Raton, Florida from 1977–1981
on outdoor clay courts.
