To everybody: Maybe you have seen the new post of Neeky McDeez in the custom animation thread. In future, every anim maker will upload his anims and will send the links to Neeky so that he can post them in the custom animation thread. Because of the rising number of anim makers :thumbleft:, it is the only way to do it. It would be too much work for Neeky to handle all the animations and making them compatible for the 1.0c version. I'm sorry for the 1.0c users but i'm creating my anims for 1.0d build 82.

Lucian 86 wrote:Yes, I'm going to do others but I'm going to take my time...This one took me a lot of hours yesterday and today

I was thinking about Nalbandian's forehand and backhand (he's my second favourite player) but since the backhand in particular is maybe the most beautiful two-hand backhand in the world, I'm going to let "m4n4c0r" to do it (if he wants it )...he's more talented than me

So, I think I'm going to go on with Berdych's backhand

Feel free to do every animation you want. I think it is getting harder to make arrangements among the anim makers, who will make which anim. In my opinion it is not so bad when we will have anims twice. Everbody can decide oneself which he or she wants to play with.

I'm still working on the new version of Federer's fh. It will be released with the Djokovic forehand soon.

I agree...it was you who said that we should try to do different animations, that's why I said that

Fine for me..feel free to do also Berdych animations if you want ;)

Yes, i know i said that earlier. At this moment i didn't thought that so many of the communitiy get excited about making anims. But that's awesome :) !! I mean it would be great when we have a lot of different anims. I can only speak in my behalf but my motivation creating new anims is, that i'm interested in the strokes i work on. That's the reason i don't take requests + the time of course.
Btw, you did a great job on Berdych's forehand :applause: !!

SamModder wrote:Nice! But it feels like the anim is too robotic/mecanical (the motion and also the feet positions feel wierd I think) and it doesn't make it fluid in game, this isn't right since Nalbandian is one of the most clean hitters in men tennis along with Federer... Maybe you could give a little more wrist action and give some more spin with some more bending on the knees?

thanks sam...of course i take the help!! i do my anim based on just one video  and i will used those you vids that you posted..thanks man!! by the end of next week hope to released it!! :applause: :applause: :applause: :applause:

Almost finished Berdych's backhand
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ymy92ak3 ... e=youtu.be

I choosed an open stance because I think it's more characteristic to him; he often though hits in a neutral stance

Still have to adjust the left hand on the racquet; there are some errors there. I'll try also to rise up a little bit the racquet towards the end of the stroke; that's more suitable for a powerfull stroke; Maybe I need to speed up a little bit the shoot preparation and the also the stroke...What do you think ?

Hope it's decent enough

m4n4c0r you're right ... I agree with the idea of everyone make his own animation not matter if is the same strokes that others do. everyone can use the animation they want:applause: :applause: :applause:

Berdych's strokes are a stiff imo; the right timing is what does the job for him

People, I was a little busy with the school this week but, I'll start making Almagro's pack (that's a tribute for him to have won the Brasil Open 2012)... I may start with his forehand and then, I'll try his serve(It may look a little bit strange, but let's see what happens... :)

Nice one Lucian ! Overall I think you did pretty well with Berdych because i real life he generates a lot of power without really seeming to try and we can see that in you anims :) (maybe you could try Nalby's backhand next since you are on a 2hander)

Hoy hoy !

In case some of you would like to see their strikes incorporated into the official game (*), I'm releasing the following strike styles :
https://www.managames.com/download.php?T ... trikes.rar

You'll need them because in the official game, all strikes within the same family (ie: all 1H-FH, all 2H-FH, all 1H-BH, all 2H-BH) share the same sweet spot ; this is very important as it has an influence on the gameplay.
So if you create some new strikes, you should make their sweet spot (on the frame where the ball hit occurs) to match the one of the strike of the same family bundled in the .rar above.

I didn't put any serve, so for the serve, I give you manually the coordinates of the sweet spot on ball hit : x (width) = 1.05cm ; y (depth) = 1.2cm ; z (height) = 29.4cm

For the rally strikes, your sweet spot :
- x should be within +/- 0.5cm of the official strike (ideally, even within +/- 0.2cm)
- y should be within +/- 1cm
- z is free, but should be somewhat same, as I usually used the most neutral height (ie: can work more or less with low ball & high ball)

For the service, the sweet spot coordinates should all be within +/- 0.2cm, as it's very important to determine the ball trajectory on serve.

Note : everything is scaled x10 once in the game, so 0.5cm in 3ds Max will be 5cm in the game

Important : These anims are also bundled with the 3D mesh ! So it'll be easier for you to feel how the anim works directly within 3ds Max (although, it's always a bit different within the game); it will also help you to avoid smashed body parts, and it'll let you fix the shoulder rotations, if you have the brave to do it (this is the biggest pain in the *ss, as it's very hard to get a perfect result).
In bonus, the 3D mesh of the racket is also present, that could lead to creation of new racket Models if some Modder wants to give it a try ; if you do that, do it in a way that the sweet spot isn't modified (or only by a tiny bit), else it'll be visually wrong while playing with it.

(*) : I'm not sure how & when I'd put your strikes within the game ; we will have to discuss that together, maybe for TE2011 v1.0e in June..? And of course, I would not put any of your strike without your express consent..! :blackeye:
