Hello, Will it exist some way to convert or pass the Players.ATP.ini file from TE2013 to TE4 Early Edition?, I make this question because the players current names with TE4 are totally unknown, In fact, I created a player of my country to play the ATP tournaments.

I think it wouldn't be good idea create one by one the players, it would be a work very long.

I guess you have the Steam version, so just pick the player base from the TEM2 Modding SDK : topic11-31376.php .

Yes, i have Steam version, but the true I don't understand the explanation, for example in the part of "INI FILES" according to what I think understand they talk about 2 specific folders that can be found in the compressed file that you recomend me download, where they say that there are 2 different ways to mod.

In the option 1 they mention a Mod folder, then my questions are: where we must to copy files, what files? where can I find them? do i must to create the mentioned folder before and in where?

Now if the option 1 has been complicated to me, then I think the second one is harder and besides very extense.

The only one that I want is update the players for TE4 because the current ones are very old.

Do you think could have other easier mode to explain or to make a videotutorial within your time and always that you can?

Just copy "TEM2-ModdingSDK.zip/Ini/Players.ATP.ini" to "Mods\MySuperMod\Ini\Players.ATP.ini", creating the required folders.

I don't know if it's right what I made.

In the TE4 folder's root I created a folder with subfolders as you tell, i mean "Mods\MySuperMod\Ini\"

Where in the last folder named "Ini" I copied the Players.ATP.ini file of TE2013, but I obviously I made it entering to the game and going to setting as they recommend, but I couldn't get the expected result, where I don't watched noone change.

Let me help you with that wilddog79 !!!

It's simple, you need to create a folder caller MODS inside this folder =

C:\Users\XXXXXXX\AppData\LocalLow\Mana Games\Tennis Elbow 4

Inside of MODS create another folder called MySuperMod (or anything you want) and inside this folder create a folder called Ini !!!

After that you ONLY NEED to download these file = https://www.mediafire.com/file/fj5dd1x3 ... P.rar/file

And paste these 2 files inside your Ini folder, so now you have ALL the players from ATP and WTA updated and with the real names in your Tennis Elbow 4 !!!

It's very simple, worked with me and will work with you, hope I help you with that !!!


Ahhh, another thing, I know you have many challenger courts, and I have almost challenger courts from 2017 to 2021, only a few courts is missing, cold you share with me these courts that you created, I remember you posted here in the forum some challenger courts and I like your courts.

if not adapted, a TE2013 player base won't work well with TE4. Did you mean you put the TEM2 player base ?

The Mods folder should already exist (if you have launched the game at least once). To find it, click on Settings -> Profile -> Show Data Folder.

1.- I could add Players.ATP.ini to the game, but I only can play matches of ATP, Challengers or Futures tournaments, when I want to play training mode or other one it doesn't appear noone player added in the list.

2.- I could add a 2d court to the game replacing to court01 (in this case clay) and of course I played too, what happen that I make courts with the original image, I don't like the lines of the court by default that the game put there (I think you understand what I mean, right) but i had this problem. I let the next image of the problem.



How do I adjust the lines and after delete which in this case is more little (and I refer to which the game put there), letting only the original of the jpg file.

I’m not sure in this case, but if you have a Focal line, write this :
Focal = // turns off the default Focal

And you can remove the lines added by the game by replacing the value of the LinesColor line by 0.

I'm am only interested (for the moment) in adding REAL player names for ATP/WTA. TE4 is the first game of the series for me and being a newbie, I find some of the directions here and at Steam forums very confusing for modding and adding real player names.

The info given in the TEM2 Modding thread: topic11-31376.php
lead me to keep adding one TOO MANY folders to the Mod folder.

I kept creating the file path: Mods\MySuperMod\Specifics\Ini\Players.ATP.ini

The "Specifics" folder was not required and the reason why I could not get real players names to show up in game. I still would not have been able to get real names working if I hadn't come across this thread.

you're right, it was confusing (especially to newcomers to the TE Modding world), so I just added another example with the Player base ; hopefully, it'll be more clear like this...
