I recently found a work on player skills and profile call "player dna" so I started to base my stats work on it, and after a little bit of time spend to make this stats match with TE2013 ones, I have a pretty good result for the player I made. I'm working now on rise the serve importance on the statistics because good server are not as good as other player. So I changed aislowerserver and aislowerreturner and hope it will work. And last work I made for statistics, I found a graphic on player average ball spin rate so I changed all the value of the player who are on this graph and it significantly grew most of the players spinning skill (Federer at 63, dimitrov at 71 or raonic at 49) the work seem accurate, with lift stats goes from 9% for kukushkin to 80% for nadal and for example medvedev at 25, djoko at 47 or thiem at 79 it seems realistic to me.
Concerning court pace, I need to change it a little bit for all the court to make it more visually realistic but it will not take to long.
As you can see, the work advance well even if it's not finish yet. I think I will release a first version when the the Stats of all the actual top 50 and all the player in the player dna database will be changed. After that I will regularly make updates which don't invalidate your saves because I will only change player stats.

It's time for the new update!

This time I found few more data works on Google and Twitter called tennis profiler and some graphics by "vestige_du_jour" on Twitter. It help me to make a Google sheet tables which include skill stats for about 150 players including 50 legends players. Tennis profiler give me a skill classification concerning serve, forehand, backhand, return and net play. And the twitter's graphs give me some stats about player average shots speed and lift rate.
Plus I rework again the tennis.ini values and the surface physics to make the rally length more realistic and shorter than before and to make dropshots and lob quite more efficient.
For now I will focus on finishing my work on all the court physics and complete my own stats table to be able to include my stats in the game.
It represents a good amount of work but I think I will be able to release the first version in the first half of May.

Of course I will share some screenshots and video when I will be proud of what my patch looks like.

Screenshots will be useful just to see players stats and I already tell a little disclaimer some player stats seems little strange like for exemple cilic and tsitsipas backhand which are quite powerful and have very low precision but in game it seems visually realistic to me.

You will be able to make your own opinion when I will publish the first video (maybe in one or two weeks but it's not sure)

Just a little update to give some news on the work, the previews and the possible release date.

So the work on the surfaces physics is done for the major courts (GS, masters 1000, nitto finals, few atp 500) I also finished the work on simulated match and now I have to implement all the stats I found on internet (tennis profiler, DNA method, tweeter graphics) in the game, I already made few players and for now I keep working on equilibrate the surfaces and the players.

The work is going well, I hope to release the first version of the mod before roland garros so on the may 25th, and some previews soon.

For now the players 2021 outfits won't be in the game I just put some recent outfits (mostly 2019 and 2020) for all the famous players.

Concerning the database, I would say that all the important players would have their rankings up to date and some predictions for this year and the next years.

Finally, I put the most recent courts that I found on the forum (with some exception to keep courts that have a complete crowd)

Little update

Bad news, my game just had a problem this morning and ask to install the game while it was already installed... I don't know what happened but it totally erase my "tennis" file and so it also erase all the adjustments I made on it in the past month... So all the work I made on players is just gone and my motivation also took some serious damages... I hope I will be able to remember all the settings I changed to don't have to restart all the work

Sorry to hear this, I hope you can get back on track and release the mod in the future!
Have you tried to use Recuva or any other file restore software? In my experience Recuva works pretty well

New update

The first players' previews will be drop today
It will be the player stats screen on his best ranking year.

Give some request if you want to see a specific player.
