Exporting Anims

Postby Pablo Hernandez » 27 Aug 2018, 13:41

I have been trying to export some animations in 3DS Max 8, when I export it gives me the X File for me to then put in the playermodel folder in data-models-anims,however when I put it in there and go in game the player is still and my animation does not pop up, It does not give me an animation file.

I have unzipped KW X-PORT in stdplugs ,put the working kw X-Port in Plugins and exported with the same settings as Megyam did in his tutorial.

Does anyobody know how to solve this problem?

Many Thanks

The game can only create the .anim within the Data folder, but not through the Mods folder, so you might have to create this folder 'Data/Models/Anim/PlayerMale01'.

However, I guess it won't fix your issue with the animation not working.

I got it to work however, doesnt give me an anim file. Seems like someone previous to me had the same issue as shown below.

The problem was game engine didn't create .anim files after i copied .X files to the folder, so instead of using .anim files to run an anim, it used .X one.

This Davide Menez had the issue from using the Mods folder.

Maybe the game doesn't have write access to the folder.

Check in : C:\Users\[Your User Name]\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\Tennis Elbow 2013 .

Yeah i've used the anim folder inside Mods folder (not from the data ones) to generate animations, but somehow at the past i couldn't see the game engine export .anim files so i've to go with the .X . Currently it's fine, it was exported to .anim file when i copied .X file in Mods folder. Very strange

Davide Menez,
I just checked and the game should still not be able to export the .anim into the Mods folder, so I'm afraid your PC is possessed... :fear: ... :blackeye:
