Complicated question for letuan1998vn, Maxou and manutoo

Hello everyone!

I make my return to these forums in the hope I can become part of the community again and share all my creations with you once again.

However, I have a complex (or hopefully simple) issue I need help with. I will try explain as best I can:

A while back letuan1998vn created some amazing new shoe and shirt skins to be able to have double sided shoes and shorts with the 'V' cut, for which I'm very appreciative. This meant that a new playermale01.x file had to be copied for this to work.

Now here's the problem: with Maxou's playermale01.x file, the textures on the players shorts (particularly lines that run vertically down the side of the shorts) are much cleaner and don't 'tear' or 'smudge' across the pants. However, with letuan1998vn's version (and any other version of the file), the texture smudges again.

I would like to know what Maxou did in the coding to his playermale01.x file to get these shorts textures to be clean. And how I can have both the clean short textures, as well as preserving letuan1998vn's edited file that allows the shoe and short skins to work.

Essentially, I'm trying to figure out which part of the coding was altered to clean up the side lines running down the shorts texture. Because then I could perhaps manually alter letuan1998vn's playermale01.x file, as I'd assume trying to do it the other way around is far more complicated.

I hope this makes sense - if not, I will upload a photo regardless of what I mean to perhaps better explain.

Yeah! You should upload some photos so i can understand it more clearly.
My 3ds max file file has been corrupted. So if there is more update from me then I will make a completely new file. :(

Thank you so much letuan1998vn for responding, and for all your wonderful contributions to this game!

Here are two comparisons images, look particularly at the shorts:

On the left hand side is Maxou's playermale01.x file, and on the right is yours, which obviously then shows the shoes texture now layering correctly, but the lines on the shorts are tearing and smudged. My goal is to still have your shoe and short textures layer correctly but keeping the smoothness on the shorts.

it's not about code, it's about UV coordinates for the texture (UV Mapping). The Maxou textures are perfectly tuned for the original UV Mapping, but not for the new UV Mapping done by letuan1998vn. I'm not sure what he has changed exactly, but maybe it'd be possible to get a better result by reworking the UV Mapping in his new model.

I really didn't change the UV map of this short or any other original outfit model. The difference is Maxou's playermale01.x file from the old version of TE2013 and mine from the latest version of TE2013. If you want to make any kind of short, just tell me and I will show you some examples. :)

Thank you both for you replies - I'm sorry for how late mine is. I managed to correct the texture of the other short models by copying Maxou's code for 'shorts02' into letuan's playermale file under shorts02. The only short model I cannot fix the texture of is shorts04 (the one with the 'V' shaped cut), as copying Maxou's shorts code would ruin the V cut that letaun has created (I'd imagine). The shoes and shirts and everything still work. Letuan, if you would like, I can send you my playermale file so that now at least the texture on shorts02 model won't tear like it did, if you want, so that vertical lines will run correctly from now on.

Jono, do you know on Maxou patch, how to add the the hair style of pony tails that are in the original game?
