Court Physics

Hello,
Can someone help me please?
1) What is SkidAngleRatioBase, and MaxSkidAngleRatio?
2) if friction is the surface speed, than what is "SurfaceSpeed?"
3) What is HiDeceleration?
4) what does "Type " add to the court physics? If I put Hard Court parameters for a Clay court type, what difference does it make?
5) It is known that Clay courts have the highest bounce, and bounce is Elasticity in "Courts.ini". However, I see very little difference between Elasticity in Clay Courts (approx. 0.86) and Synthetic Courts (approx. 0.83). Does this mean that high Topspin is effective on Synthetic courts?
The same thing for Friction, the difference between different court types is small. Shouldn't it be larger?

Thanks

Hello,

=> topic29-6452.php

NewLine Synthetic (ie: AU Open) is a very slow surface, close of the clay.

I have a question that I don't see the answer to in the link provided.
In the documentation, it is mentioned that having high topspin value will affect the player in different surfaces. In clay, he will get a bonus. In grass and hard, he will be affected negatively if having high topspin.

1- Is this bonus/decrease, still applied after updates? If so, how large is this bonus/decrease? Or has it been removed? Becuase when I play against Nadal in Wimbledon at Master-10, he is still pretty strong for an 80% topspin.
2- How do I know if the surface is clay/grass/hard/synthetic from court.ini, so the bonus/decrease is applied on that court? At what values does the game set the court as clay, grass, hard, synthetic?
3- In world tour, I tend to increase/decrease the topspin value depending on the court. Do you recommend such strategy?

Thanks

0) Bonus is for the simulated matches ; for the realtime matches, we can't use the term "bonus" ; I guess we can tell it brings a bigger advantage en slow surfaces, and it's not that useful on fast surfaces because raising your topspin slow down your accelerations

1) If you play with a Mod, then it's possible the grass has been slowed down ; anyway, it's normal Nadal is still hard to beat on grass ; it's important to hit acceleration on the baseline when possible on grass, to do winners more easily

2) Like I said above, there's no dedicated bonus ; it's just the physics engine that produces different result depending of all the factor, like in real, so topspin is more efficient on slow surface ( = high bounce "Elasticity" + slow bounce "Friction)

3) Hum, I'm not sure it's really good, because it means you'll lose points in other skills ; but if you enjoy to do that, I don't have an objection... :)

I have another questions:

1- How does the game know that a court is clay, or hard? Given that they have the same physics; i.e. friction and Elasticity. What other characteristics differentiate between clay and hard? Because there is a Hard court that have close parameters to a clay court, but it is Hard. Does that makes it clay?

2- Does Topspin affect the speed or power of the shots?

1) In what way you want the game to know it's a clay court ?
Check Data/Court01/Court.ini to see all the parameters.
To simulate a bit the sliding, there's :
HiDeceleration = 0.55
SpeedConversion = 0.90

Else, it's mostly a visual difference.
