Available TourAtp.ini Files from 1973 to now

For those who are entirely insane because of TE, I've created every touratp.ini files about each year from 1973 to now. I gave them to Manutoo who will surely put them in the game. If you lose patience, I can send you all of them.

You'll have to replace manually each file when you begin a new year. Of course, it works very nice.

Just call me if you're interested in it.

PS: If you want to enjoy the oldest years (70s, 80s), I can send you also my player.ini with many vintage players (Laver, Borg etc.)

Hello,

I won't bundle all the Tour.ini's with the game, as it creates some small display bugs, so I'm putting them in this topic.

So to use them, you still need a main Tour.ATP.Ini (or WTA) and then for each year, TE engine will check if there's a corresponding Tour.ATPXXXX.Ini (or WTA) where XXXX is the year number ; if the .Ini exist, it'll use it, else it'll use the main .Ini .

Each yearly .Ini has to be identical to the main .Ini , except you can change the following parameters for each tournament : Name, Ground, Category, Country, CountryPlayer, MaxPlrPerCountry, ZonePlayer, SurfaceSpeed, TopPresence, WhiteOutfit, VictoryCup, CustomHud, LastSetTieBreak, DoubleLastSetTB & PrizeMoney.
Or in short, you can't change the following parameters : Week, DrawSingle, DrawDouble, DrawSingleQ, DrawDoubleQ.

Which means you can't change the total number of tournaments, the number of tournaments for each given week, the week of any tournament, nor the draw size of any tournament.
You are allowed to change the tournament category, but if you put a category whose qualies settings lead to different qualies draw sizes, then the game will crash.

Using different .Ini each year might lead to small bugs like wrong career prize calculation, wrong tournament info for H2H listing, and stuff like that.

Hmm, it's working quite well, but whenever I am renaming a tournament in my modded calendar, suddenly out of nowhere another Miami tournament appears during the week of Indian Wells :D
It works fine with the ones by spinoliver, so I wonder what I am doing wrong - I even tried it without changing the category (Washington -> Olympic Games), but I am failing badly :)

I read the topic, but i can't understand how it works. Can Olympics be established each 4 years with this new update :?:

If you are going to use the files attacheted in that thread, they would be each 4 years (as they are replacing Toronto), but bear in mind that they are not that realistic - as there is Q-draw and WCs.

Oh, now i understand, a tournament can be named ''Olympics'' but it will be the same tournament of before, just with a different name ':D
In that case, i guess this is a progress, but still away from that dream of having olympics in-game.
Miharu, can you work on that, at least try :?: Please, i know you can :blackeye:

You can always download them and test in on your own, you will see how it works.

miharu0607,
if you're 100% sure you didn't do a mistake, post your Tour.ini's , I'll check if there's a bug in TE or not.

I hope that you won't mind if I send you this on your e-mail?
And yes - I am sure, because it happens even with changing name of the tournament in copied file of Tour.Atp.ini (of course renamed to let's say tour.atp2003.ini), and Miami shows up with 32 players in the draw during week of Indian Wells :D

miharu0607,
ok, I got the bug ; I was using the tournament section name to get its number, but you have many sections with the same name/number, so I changed the way to get the tournament number & now the change of tournaments should be ok.

Everybody,
I also fixed 2 little bugs :
- the year was not the correct one when showing tournament at very start of the game
- the tournament list wasn't updated to the default one when a year was missing (after have shown a custom year)

You can re-dl the demo or the patch.

MaxPlrPerCountry
?
So we can add MaxPlrPerCountry = 4; like in the Olympics?

suvurvius,
to show your own victory picture, you'll have to create a new "Menu/WT_Victory.menu" file, with this :
Code: Select all
Include WT_Menu.def

Background #None

item
{
   Text Congratulation
   Pos 320 0 center up
   Font TitleF

   OnEnter

   OnAction
   {
      PlaySound 2
   }

   Unselectable
}

item
{
   Text YouWon /WT_Intern/TrnName
   Pos 320 480 center bottom
   Font TitleF
   ShowIf /WT_Intern/TrnNum -1
}

item
{
   Text WonTeamCup
   Pos 320 480 center bottom
   Font TitleF
   ShowIf /WT_Intern/TrnNum 0
}

item TrnName
{
   Text YouWon
   CycleButton #Text
   Pos 320 480 center bottom
   Font TitleF

   OnAction
   {
      SlideCfg /WT_Intern/TrnNum 0 100
   }

   Unselectable
   ShowIfNot /WT_Intern/TrnNum -1 0
}

//===== Back
item
{
   Image Ico/Done 48 48
   Pos 635 475 Right Bottom
   Selected

   OnAction
   {
      MenuBack
   }
}

and then add an item to display a picture according the value of /WT_Intern/VictoryCup .
ZonePlayer is used to accept players only from the specified zone (the zone number depends of the country, and is listed in "Data\Countries_English.txt").

miharu0607,
yes.

Manu,

I'm reviving this topic because I just tried what you mentioned above, but it didn't work. /WT_Intern/VictoryCup has value 1 (why?) and /WT_Intern/TrnNum is always -1, so I can't use it to select image. I used the following code:

Code: Select all
item Victory01
{
   CycleButton #ImageGI

   Image Bg/Trophies/Cincinnati 640 480
   Pos 320 240 Center Center
   Font Bg

   Unselectable
   //Invisible

   OnAction
   {
      SlideCfg /WT_Intern/VictoryCup 0 100
   }

   ShowIfNot /WT_Intern/TrnNum -1 0
}

And in global.def:

Code: Select all
item Victory35       // 35 is the number of the tournament
{
   Image Bg/Trophies/Halle 640 480
   Invisible
}
