I'm so overwhelmed with this modding stuff!

I know I should keep looking through the forum, but I've been looking for 1-2 hours for clear details about how to mod the game. I'm not very experienced with every little detail of computers, so any time I see a step-by-step, I'm still at a complete loss. Like, how in the WORLD did someone do THIS http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PBnWyI380P0&hd=1 ? And how can I possibly do that?

I'm sorry if you get this question a million times a month, but I'm really desperate and tired of searching for the equivalent of "how to mod for dummies." If someone could help me out, I would appreciate it sooooo much. Thank you!

If you want help you need to more specific about what you need help with.

What is exactly that you're struggling with? What is it that you want to do?

Mainly add a really nice looking court like in the video, but I noticed that not only the court, but the players, look better and more detailed too, so that'd be great also.

for those details you have to go gamesys.ini and change StarU and StarV and put those values in 700

for the courts, read "howtomod"

OK, well the quickest way to do that is to download a mod someone has made. I use Sam's mod (you can find the thread on the first page of this forum). Follow the instructions he's given and you'll then be able to play the game with real 2D courts like Monte Carlo, Indian Wells, etc. The animations and outfits also match the players in real life so it adds to the realism.

If you need help with installing let me know and I'll do the best I can.

Thanks. I've been screwing around with these paks and I finally got my game to look like this (idk how). The 2D courts are cool (I don't have a 3D license, if that matters), but the game is slower than the true version, and I can't find any of the players that supposedly come with these paks. Not only that, but I can't edit any character besides their clothing. Ever heard of this? Any advice? Thanks.

The ITST mod is a patch to play online. Mainly for this reason you can't edit the characters etc... However, if i am not wrong, it exists an editable version (you can ask to Elías for it in the ITST thread). About to load the characters (in ITST) you need to créate a new profile in advanced settings, called ITST. After that, go to the player's list and you will see the roaster.

If you have downloaded the Sam's patch you will need first, to save the characters from the World Tour.

About the gameplay, its posible that the ITST mod is a little bit slower than the Vanilla version. The mod is supossed to be played without previews and with slow autopositioning.

Hope it helps!

Like ELTXETXU said, this is the ITST mod. As far as I know you can only play online with this mod, not offline.

If you play with Sam's patch, for example, you will be able to start your own career offline and be able to edit the players, etc.

Which mod you choose depends on what you want to do in the game. The ITST mod only allows you to play online against other real people also playing online. Whereas Sam's mod allows you to start a career offline and play all the ATP events.

Also, there's no such thing as a '3D license'. You have the option to either turn on or off 3D courts in the video options menu.

When I click to turn on the 3D courts, it says I need a license to have 3D courts. It apparently costs 10 dollars.

Does anyone have a link to the offline mod? Thank you so much, everyone.

JacobTennisMB,
use the ATP-patch of phucnguyen.
It works well in Training Club and World Tour (both offline) and is very
easy to install......

I tried to install it, but it keeps saying unknown code when I try to start it up and then crashes before anything shows up.

I don't use this patch so I can't help you with that, but if you need help with Sam's patch you can ask and I will try my best to help.
