What is my motivation to keep modding?

Here is the topic:

I met this game in a Spanish forum called Taringa, there i found a community (here we now have over 1500 members), that mod the game, some are famous now in this forum:
(Jaydraco, megyaem30, andy09, Lewis321, extremista90, me, etc...)

In that time i just download some little mods (like faces, or 3D courts), but i didn't mod the game, i just enjoyed works from other people.

One time, i decided to do a shirt from a soccer team, and some people in Taringa!, congratulated me, and was a good experience, that motivated me.
Then, i did some scoreboards, and some rare 3D courts, and i did them just for fun.
One day, someone posted something like this:

Code: Select all
Online community for the ones with the full game....

At that time, i thought TE was a 100% free shareware game, cause in a topic, there was the full game donwload link (2011 1.0c)

I stepped away from the game a while, and then came back, when I found a patch on this forum (tomasjrl), i joined this forum, and i commented that topic
(actually that was my first reply in this forum).

I played with that patch during some time, and then, i leave the game again
(even i asked manuTOO if he deleted my account, now i thank him, cause he didn't did it  )

Few months ago, i started to mod in this forum (10 Statboards, Full Custom Hud's, 2D HD courts by Nigogu).
Someone, shared HIS key with me, and thats why now i have last version.....

At first, i thought i didn't need goals or something like that to keep modding but now.....

I don't know what i'm try to get doing this, many do modding to get to the ''big modder'' range, but i will never get ''big modder'', because you have to have bought the full game, and i can not buy it, as i have no way to do it, once i asked donations... but i don't know it's a good idea.

So, i don't know, few days ago, megyaem got a real full key just for him. (he was in a similar situation than me) so, if someone appreciates my work, please consider this, i offer modding, just for a motivation (getting a full own game).

Sorry for my english, thanks for reading and please, consider this message.........

EDIT: Rob92 bought me a key on 19/01/2014, this is my new courts topic  topic29-15713.php

Good Luck :jap:

Well... You've made some courts, two statboards, I think you should some more before asking for that. Don't take it too personal, but at the moment I feel it's like only Sam, Rogerfed1 and torto deserving a key if they don't have one.
Of course you're helpful at the forums, so maybe someone would be that kind, but I doubt in it.

Yes, i know, that I have not yet done enough to be big modder, but for what?
If just will not be able to be, that is the intention of this topic, so, even if i work a lot, not having the original game, i will not be able to be big modder...

Not having a game is not something that can affect your modding, especially when all the things you made so far where mostly related to using photoshop. You don't feel that this is just begging?

Well, looks you didn't understand....... i have the game, as i said in the post, and i know i don't have lots of work, but:
WHY KEEP MODDING, IF I WILL NEVER GET ANY MOTIVATION (like big modder range), and i only can get that range with an OWN FULL GAME.

Then ask somebody to buy it for you as a birthday present, 20$ that's not that much.

No offense guy, but u aren't in the same class as the guys you mentioned. Posters like Sam, rogerfed, Draco, megyaem30, andy09, Lewis321, extremista90, Dilma etc. have taken a average game and made it into the best tennis game in the world. Until you start making contributions like these guys I would either mod for fun or just stop doing it entirely. The elite modders don't do it for the money either, they do it because they enjoy modding and it is a hobby of theirs also. So that is another thing, if it's not fun for you anymore, stop modding. It's that simple.

Well, average montly salary in Colombia is something around 350$ according to statistical data, I guess I should stop watching soap-operas, cause in those Colombia (especially Cartagena area looks like South American Monte Carlo) is well in not so bad economical situation. When I was his age, and I wanted something really bad I was collecting money that long, as I have collected it on things I've wanted, so there are still ways to afford it.
