All right!
So only the new ones seem affected. I suppose you can see them in the menu as you have tried them out, so the problem very probably comes from the sound.init.

Could you please make a screen capture of it and post it on the forum?

@rogerfed1: Thanks buddy! I'm glad you have succeeded in fixing all this, 90% of sounds-related issues come from the sound.init :)

@andymurray: Have you managed to install your pak3 properly or do you need some help?

I know what you mean - I was trying to find early phase matches with one of the three female umpires, and apart of the Olympic Games couldn't find anything.

Looks nice, i am playing with sams patch and i am looking for a sound pack that replaces the annoying repetetive commentary!
Does this have commentary in it that repeats all the time ? I hope not, than this would be an awesome download!

no way to change it with the sams patch i guess ??
he is using pak files instead of a sound folder, which is gone..

anyone has experience with changing sound in sams patch?

Hello man, I forgot to ask you whether you managed to fix it? Otherwise, I will try and post a tutorial video so that it will make things easier for anyone who wants to install the pack. ;-)

Hello buddy! The package has a folder called English Commentary, but you are not forced to install it, you can only paste the sounds you want to play with in your TE sound folder. Actually, I will soon upload a kind of alternative pack with an extra folder named 'Crowd Atmosphere' so that you guys will be able to play either with English commentary or just raw applause files. Apparently, there is no sound folder in the Sam Patch's version of the game, so I guess you will have to wait for him to implement the sounds in his pack if he agrees, of course.

I will try and upload a tutorial video soon enough. :-)

Daffers said that there is actually no sound folder in the Sam Patch version of the game, so it will be difficult to install this without messing up the pak files. So, Sam, could you please explain to us how your patch users can install my sounds without much trouble? Thanks in advance! :)

Hello buddies!

I took advantage of my afternoon off to make a short tutorial on how to install my sound package for ManaGames users playing with a patch such as Sam's. There is another alternative: downloading the ITST mod, which features all my sounds, except for the English commentary.

Two remarks on the tutorial:

1. In the tutorial, you are asked to open your pak3 through Qped. I included all the necessary downloading links in the YouTube video description. Your pak3 can be located either in the data folder contained in the main TE directory or in the data folder contained in the 'mods' folder, depending on the patch you play with.

2. You will also notice that at a given point, I delete two language_files, namely the English one and the French one and then substitue them with new files. The English should be deleted and replaced for any of you. As for the second language file, it all dépends which language you want to run the game in. Spanish users will delete the lang_español file, Croatian users the lang_croatian one, and so on.

If you still face issues, feel free to tell me about it.

Please mind the following golden rule: whatever appears in your sound.ini, should appear in the form of .wav files in your sound folder.

I have also released a Sounds Pack 3.0b, which will allow you to play without the English commentary while using the brand new crowd atmosphere (please see Crowd_Atmosphere folder).

Thanks El Croato for the tutorial. I followed your instructions to install your mod on top of Sam's patch. There's no audio.menu file in pak03 so i just ignored this step and then I did exactly like you said in the video. but now I don't know where I should put all of your sound folders.Cause I had to delete the sound folder in the main TE directory before installing Sam's patch. also I wonder if I should manually change the sounds every time I enter in a different tournament or they change automatically according to the surface I'm playing on.

When I put 5 service sounds, instead of 8, into my sounds folder, sometimes the serve doesn't make any sound at all. How can I fix that?

Gongratulations for your work. It's great!

I have actually started collecting Bernardes' samples, but I do not have enough of them to make a Bernardes pack for now. I will keep on looking for more, though. :-)

You're welcome. :-) If you cannot find neither a sound folder, nor a menu.audio in Sam's patch, I fear you will have to wait for Sam to include the new sounds in one of his next updates if he agrees to do so. I guess he kinda crypted some data to prevent some users from stealing his work to make their 'own' patch. Furthermore, I think sounds in Sam Patch change automatically depending the surface you play on so you do not need to change them manually.

If I find a solution, I will let you know. ;-)

Thanks for your kind words, buddy! :D

I think your issue of not hearing some service sounds comes from your sound.Init. Indeed, the golden rule says: whatever appears in your sound.ini, should appear in the form of .wav files in your sound folder. As such, if you decide to lower the service sounds to 5, you will need to reflect those changes in your sound.init as well.

More concretly, if you have lowered, for example, the Roland Garros strong service sounds from 8 to 5, you will have to delete three entries (which I marked in red below) in your sound.ini as follows:

Sound124 = RG_Service_Str1.wav, RG_Service_Str2.wav, RG_Service_Str3.wav, RG_Service_Str4.wav, RG_Service_Str5.wav, RG_Service_Str6.wav, RG_Service_Str7.wav, RG_Service_Str8.wav

Every time you will raise or lower samples in your sound folder, please do not forget to operate those modifications in the sound.ini as well so that everything will go smooth. :-)
