Jazzo - Steve Stifler 7:6 6:4 6:4

he deserves this win, because he played great at some moments. I had my chances in the first, but after that it was pretty easy for Jazzo.

Jazzo - Steve Stifler 7:6(7) 6:4 6:4

I did all my hard work in the first set. I don't like to play in the morning (11:45 AM :P ) becouse I'm all sleepy.

So I had a terrible start, Steve break me and then kept his service - 2:0. And then got 3 breal points at 0:40. I did save them all and started to play better.

That were thelast BP for Steve, in fact he won only 5 point on my service till the end of the match (2 in 1st, 2 in 2nd and 1 point in the 3rd set).

But let's get back to the first set, Steve had 5:4 and was serving for th set... i got 15:40 and break him at first BP (my only in this set).

Tie brake was interesting, he had a set point at 6:5 and service. But i did win that point and finally won 9:7.

2nd and 3rd sets were similar, Steve had no chances on my service, i took 1/2 BP in both sets, enought for winning them.

I think Steve concentration fall after 1st set so it was a easy victory. But it was all about luck in the first set...

I admit I shouldn't conclude you wasn't online as much as him - you're from US, I didn't count the time difference. Sorry 'bout that. But about other staff... Try to understand that I had to make a decision. There was no reason why I shouldn't believe Stifler, and besides, the tournament had to go on.
In the future, I'll talk with both of players before my decision, but that includes more of your communication. By MSN messages, or posts.

Pukovnik(4)-Stuey (8) 7-5, 6-7, 7-6, 3-6, 7-5

Truly amazing match that lasted for more then an hour. Well done Stuey, you were superb!

True battle, I thought, started in the third set, Stuey went a break up, but I managed to get it back, and then I was very good in the tie-break, held my serve and nerves great. But then, in the fourth set Stuey played some great tennis. I wasn't even close to winning it. He managed to take the same great form into the fifth set. I was nowhere, Stuey dictated the game. I saved 15-30 at 2-2, and then 0-40 at 4-4. Maybe that decided the match. At 6-5 I had my first break points in two sets, and luckly I managed to take that chance.

In retrospect, this was an amazing encounter, and I think Stuey deserved to win as much as I did.

Pukovnik - Stuey 7-5 6-7 7-6 3-6 7-5

another one bits the dust :-)

an incredible match.

the score says everything, it was a very close match. i've never played anything like this. couple of points were just.. amazing. you think the point is all yours, then the opponent somehow cathes the ball, lob you back, etc etc. a neverending points. just amazing.

i had more break chances during the match (2/10 - 3/7) , more aces (60-36), less errors (10-33), but he had better and more confident play on the net (98/171 - 58/139), and better concentration on the most valuable points. that brought him the victory in the end...

congratulations to pukovnik.

Hehe, I had to be agressive, you are pretty tough on serve. It was very good performance against very tough opponent.
