ManuTOO is not drowning (hopefully)

Postby manutoo » 25 Oct 2011, 08:37

Hello,

for the ones who don't know : I'm actually currently living in Bangkok, Thailand.
for the ones who don't know : Bangkok is facing what might be the biggest flood of its modern history.
Some northern parts of the city are already under water, and central part may fall tomorrow. I'm at South of the central part, so I'm not sure what exactly will arrive on my street, but there's some slight chance electricity will be cut for several days if the water level is too high, and on another hand, I have 0 idea if Internet will survive the flooding. So I may not be online during several days, or even several weeks if things get really ugly.

Meanwhile, if you're an experienced Tennis Elbow player & you notice I didn't get online since more than a couple of days, please help anyone posting questions in the Forum...

I guess that tomorrow morning Internet should still work, but I'm not 100% sure, and on Thursday, it's too far to do any prediction.

Note: the server is in France, so the site, payment processing, Key sending, and everything will work as usually..!

Bon courage
And thanks a lot for the new update (and overall with the catastrophic weather conditions you have to suffer with !)

Thanks all..! :)
Everything is still ok so far in inner Bangkok ("jusqu'ici, tout va bien" ;) ).
We'll see how it goes later in the day & tomorrow... :fear:

Government said they'll do everything possible to keep electricity & water as normal.
They also said 10 days ago that Bangkok would not be flooded... so... :blackeye:

Yup, touristic cities south of Bkk are overcrowding now...
I actually think we are decently safe in our district (we live on 7th floor and got at least 10-day reserve).
They always say it's going to be bad, but so far, still nothing... But it seems that water comes slowly, so maybe it'll need a few more days to reach us... :fear:

still ok, so far..!
But I'm getting a bit afraid this may last a very long time (ie: a couple of months if not more), coz there's a gigantic flood lake up north and it doesn't seem to decrease much in size...
