You're the worst analyst I've ever seen, please don't make a career in it, it's simply not for you your boss will be mad at you

to be honest we will only know when the new season starts and mostly when on clay but if his still on top in clay he can get it, if not my guess would be no the latest years he kept the rank 2 cause he could just rape everyone on clay and if he dosent have it there... then he needs to fix some stuff

and it just breaks my heart to see him quit AO cause his a great player if i were him then i would stop with that many tournaments and return serve closer to the baseline atleast on fast surfaces he started going more to the net tho and thats good if he dosent start playing like that he wont last few more years.. and thats just sad

i m waiting for indian wells to see nadal....hope he wud get back his great form...i like federer winning it...but nadal if he defends this title then we can see his striking form again.lol nadal vs federer always the best to watch again and again :happy1: ...i want fed to get more wins on nadal  but if nadal gets a win on someone like federer then there is again a chance for him to get to the top spot..but its too difficult for nadal to get over guys like murray,djokovic,delpo,davy.... and mighty federer :D  nadal wud certainly get to top spot after federer's retirement.but at present it looks very tough

His all out aggressive style of play is tough on anybody... his body is finally telling him "hey man... I'm wearing out." I feel like if he really gets down to business and focuses on getting himself in good shape, playing less tourneys for a while, and figuring out a way to save some energy then he might be able to get number one but it's not definite.

Honestly I feel like all this time off for him is good, because hopefully it'll help him refocus. He needs to take care of his body first... because if your body is a wreck, you won't be playing at all anytime soon.
I'm definitely a guy...even though my profile pic is of Anke Huber :P

okey people would u agree on this nadal is still a great player i think he has shown some brilliant stuff and volleys even better but he has lost some consistency and he needs to regain that if he wants to retake the nr1 rank but he lost because of not same nadal or ljubitic just played out of his mind?

I think Ljubicic played ridiculously (well that is)... I'm happy for him :) I always liked the Croat. :applause: I do believe he has to get more consistent to be number one especially if he's not going to be as aggressive as he was before his time off after the Australian.

Granted...Nadal volleys better and still competes furiously, but his game is still rather one-dimensional in that he only seems to depend on his speed and ability to insanely throw his body around shot after shot after shot, etc...

What's actually happening is that guys are starting to believe that they can hurt him in the rallies, where before they felt like they had no chance...

In a recent interview Rafa was asked if he would try to shorten points in the future to take some of the pressure off of his knees...

His response? "No, tennis is played with the legs and that's how I will continue to play, my knees are fine"

I feel that he is only deluding himself and that more sooner than later his tender knees will flare up again...the handwriting is already on the wall...

Generally, once a premier athlete starts having knee trouble, look out...

well!!
ithink he has the qualities but that is not all to be the no. 1 .
there are many factors which are required to be the no.1.
yes he can be the no.1

I would say possibly but only for a brief time.
He had an amazing run, but he's starting to get old.....
