Although I'm argentinian I wanted Roger win the match because he is my idol. Unfortunately I could only see the last set and I'm very happy for Roger

But the final will be very very difficult...

Robin Soderling vs Roger Federer
it Gonna be a good final but very difficult , now I am very happy , Roger is still here and Robin Soderrling isn't unbeatable
he showed his weak points against Gonzalez , and I think that Roger won't miss the occasion
anyway , it will be a great Final match , enjoy it :wink:

Hopefully Fed can do like he usually does against Soderling and "bamboozle" him with sharp angles and short slices to bring him to the net (where he is uncomfortable) and otherwise break up his rythym...

The ABSOLUTE WORST thing he can do is get "suckered" into a game of "big bang" (which is how Robin has beaten everybody else.)
Seems that Rafa, Davedenko, and even Gonzales had no "plan B" to implement against Soderling when "plan A" failed...they could only try to outhit him...and we saw what happened to THAT strategy... :roll:

Roger has a lot more "tools" at his disposal to throw at Robin if "hitting out" doesn't work...

Also, Federer (at his best) has made a living by handling the biggest servers in tennis (he's something like 29/3 against Roddick AND Karlovic COMBINED) so hopefully he can rise to the occasion and use his record against Soderling to his advantage and "put a big chill" on Robin's hot streak... 8-)

he has 14 GS, like Pete Sampras
Nadal may forfeit for Wimbledon
Federer will win Wimbledon
And beat that record

Now , We have the answer
He's done it , Roger is the best player the Tennis has known , Incredible Champion
I am very happy to see him winner in Roland Garros and He will confirm in wimbldon and In the US Open .
Who wants to bet against that ???

This goes out to all of the Federer haters (Nadal lovers?) and after ALL is said and done for FO 2009 it's the cold, hard truth; Roger and Rafa have had a standing date for the last 4 years to meet on the final Sunday at Roland Garros...
Despite HIS struggles Roger KEPT the appointment....Rafa.... :?:

Yes Roger did it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so happy! But, all the best to Nadal. I hope his injury isn't serious. Even though he has given Roger (and me haha) heartache over the years, he is sooo classy and a very nice guy. You can't really root against him. I hope his injury is not serious. But it is what it is, and Roger needs to take advantages of such situations and keep his game up, so he can get back to #1. He's made a start with these past 2 tournaments.

But the #2 can...

I think Fed is the be big favorite for Wimbledon, but for the US Open, it'll be much harder for him, there are more serious challengers on hard court...
