I was never a Roddick fan because I don't like his on-court attitude toward the umpires. And I always rooted against him. However, I rooted for him - for the first time - against Stepanek because of his decision about the Dubai tournament. On one hand, I am proud that he did this. On the other, I have nothing against Dubai. I think the organizers understand that this cannot be done, and they corrected the matter regarding Andy Ram, which I applaud. So I appreciate Dubai correcting the matter, and hope the tournament continues to be held there, because it is a good venue and the people there are good. It was just a poor decision regarding Shahar, and I am glad it was corrected (for Ram). Everyone deserves a second chance. I don't think this tournament deserves being boycotted, because of the reversal regarding Ram's allowance, but, as a Jew, I am proud of Roddick nevertheless. He is more mature than I thought he was. Still, his on-court behavior...we'll see haha.
