Backhand & Forehand (spin and slice)

Postby djarvik » 08 Nov 2012, 23:00

Not sure if it is possible or no, but what about separating Slice and Spin for Forehand and Backhand?

This will allow creation of a player who has a Very spiny Forehand, but rather Flat Backhand. Or the vice-versa.

The slice when separated will allow for a better control of Forehand-Backhand slice capabilities, and the higher value in that stat will mean more spin on the slice shot, while lower will produce little spin and little "bite" to that shot.

What do you think?

Am I missing something here? As far as I can tell, the option to hit forehand and backhand with topspin and flat is already in the game.

Yes, indeed they are in the game. But there is no way to control spin separately.

Say I want a player with 55 Forehand spin and 25 Backhand Spin.

Also, the amount of "bite"-"side-spin" on the slice should also be controlled, and done so separate on FH and BH.

That's what I meant.

this would be an awesome idea - the slice isn't just a default defensive shot, in the right hands it can be a real weapon - people like dolgo and tomic have some of the best slices on tour despite not being the highest ranked players
