I've been playing alot of warm up games and just practising shots lately. Sone of the shots I've been trying to master is the short slices and normal strike short Cross court angles. So far I'm getting the hang of the short slice and also the BH crosscourt short angle. The problem is when I try to execute the same shot on the FH side instead of hitting the short angle I get either these two scenarios.

1) I hit the ball in the middle of the court but the ball lands short
2) I hit a cross court FH that lands deep like normal

I can't seem to get this shot to trigger like it's suppose to is there a separate input for this type of shot?

I have this problem occasionally too. When I played with a counter style player I was always able to execute this shot. Now that I play with power base liner at 40% top spin, the shot only works 1/3 of the time it seems. Sometimes it goes long and wide when i try it as well. I know it's not my execution of the shot, (I've been playing since 2005 and play on Elite controls on Master 6 in World Tour) and have every other shot mastered I used to play on Incredible but it's not realistic to the pro-tour so I lowered it. This one shot just seems to not work for me on a regular basis which sucks because I love to use it to pull my opponent out wide or as passing shots when they are at the net.

Like you said; it works 100% of the time for me on backhand short angle top spin, but not regularly on the forehand... So confusing

if the ball goes long, it probably means you take it too early.

I just took your advice Manutoo. I changed from the up,down,left,right arrows on my laptop to the following:

alt: left
applications button: down
ctrl: right
.>: up

Made all the difference!! Now I'm able to hit b1+b2 shots with great angle exposing the court which is what I was needing for players like Nadal. Thanks for the tip!
