@Manutoo
Slice is too attackable in this game! In real life if you use slice you force your opponent to lift up the ball, therefore you cannot do an acceleration. If you do it,the ball would probably go into the net in most cases. Thats not the case in this game, here you can do an acceleration without any problems therefore using slice is completely useless. I think you gotta rethink the whole thing, a solution would be to replace B1(Alt) - because no one uses this shot anyway, with a lifting shot, so when the opponent slices the ball, your only option is to lift up the ball or you lose the point. Sounds realistic to me

.......NOT  .

I hope Manutoo listens to the biggest part of players. Not much else need to be explained about this speed, its indeed a little better than the previous one, but still is slow.

Can´t you Manutoo understand that there is no way (without guessing in advance) to defend from, a serve outwide and volley to the other side/hard deep groundstroke, with this slow movement (not turtle now though)? And NO, slowing the grass was not the answer, i already told you but you simply ignore  ....

adner wrote:This new version is ok IMO. Grass game feels great, there are no endless rallies but with good control and movement players can gain advantage during the rally even if their opponent is in better position. What I always found boring were those matches with loooong and tiring rallies and that's what most of the top players excel at(hence the cries in all the changelog threads). Slower movement speed is rewarding offence and moving forward, making serve a real advantage. Losing a service game on grass is basically losing the whole set, which is a great thing since that's what real grass game should look like.

I can not i agree with you on this ,If you want to make the serve a "real advantage" i guess you want to win the point with the serve outright, then play free, and you can enjoy the 230Km aces left and right...

I am sure here everybody here looks to take the offense from the first shot, but the thing with this speed is that the server has too much advantage to take the offense and win the points, huge serve to the corner out wide-huge groundstroke combo is almost undefendable, even against reasonable oponnents you can end up being in a tiebreak because you can´t really string too many points while returning serve.

Having the matches going to the inevitable tiebreak and pray for errors is not really fun at all, but i guess it´s a matter of taste, you like the shorter points most. I rather work them.

I was actually breaking my oponnents quite a bit before the update on June 1st.... but since then its a huge struggle
It´s too simple if you can´t get to the ball :fear:. Do you think that guessing is the way to go? :annoyed:

I don't have any probs returning, the only reason why most of you "can't" return now is cause you all do the run from T to wide and back return :D

the good ol' grass was way better than this one, the bounce is like the US Open court, the volleys are impossible to put away with this new bounce
plz manutoo, get back us again the classic grass

Everybody,
grass bounce is _higher_ than before, not lower ; it is still the lowest bounce of all surfaces, though ; and now it is also the fastest bounce as well, ie: ground speed after bounce is now about 10% faster than before (which is a tad above indoor carpet), so it means you can stand a bit more far from the baseline.
Note : before grass could be already considered the fastest surface coz the bounce was very short & gave you very little time to catch the ball.

SPC,
I did a little try against the CPU ; when he serves near the lane and then volleys efficiently to the opposite lane, there's no way I can reach the ball. I'm not moving on the return, so there's no "new speed" in effect (which I recall you is not a "new speed", it's a "new speed conversion", or more generally, but already somewhat misleading, a "new inertia").
If the CPU does a less good volley, a bit slower & that bounces a couple of meters away of the lane, then I can reach it. ie: it means I have to do a good return to force him to volley less well. Seems realistic enough for me...
If you think you could reach that kind of ball in the past, send me a .dmo of your current play, I'd be curious to check if the "new speed conversion" actually impairs you during that sequence of play.

Serena Williams Fan,
let me know if it gets worst ; I'll have to find an alternate way to do it then (which will induce a short pause, so I'd rather not do it if it's not really needed).

adner,
glad to see some pep like u that actually know something about tennis... :blackeye:

Eronakold,
thanks to shred some light on why the whining reaches records this time... ;)

>> Important <<
If you installed the patch for the latest Build, re-download & re-install it now, else you'll have desynch if you or your opponent have selected the Forehand #2 and then volley or smash.
You have nothing to do if you installed the demo, though.

Can somebody please address the speed issue? the game now is unbearable, i keep having to play tie breakers, there is absolutely no chance to return serves unless you choose a side before hand. the game is so lame now. Im a paying costumer and I demand this issue to be addressed RIGHT NOW
