Return Winners

Postby Daffers » 22 May 2012, 22:49

First of all, love the game,... but i am really starting to get annoyed by the return winners of cpu players...
I get 3-4 return winners against me every game i serve against a top 50 players, which makes it really hard to win my service game...
I have no idea what to do about it, most of the time it's my first serve 210 kmh in the corner, doesn't make a difference... or second serve high spin,
is there any solution for this ? because i need to have a little control of my own service game..
i am almost on the back foot and the return winner is right in the corner and on the back line which makes it impossible to hit back..
55 return winners against me each match doesn\t feel realistic to me, also i am unable to return like this..

btw i am playing 1.25 controls on pro 10

matches are pretty even except for the return winners, so lowering difficulty is not the solution.

Have the same problem, but you'll get use to it and start to read where they will return your serve to. Also once you have served you should try and move back as you will be in a better position to get to the shot. You'll just have to learn to read the game and anticipate were the return will go, has worked for me when I started to do this.

Daffers,
what are "1.25 controls" ..?

Could you make a .dmo ..?
Personally, I don't have problem against Pro-10 with my 1st serve ; it's only on the 2nd serve that it's more tense, but he still doesn't do a return winner every time, he just puts me in difficulty often.

because of a mod it says 1.25 but it is elite controls :D
I'll try running backwards once served see how that goes.. will make a demo if the problem persists..
thnks for the reaction!

Play elite controls..things change a lot

I'm able to beat almost every player at incredible 1 except Nadal...anyway, I'm getting closer and closer but I really need to improve my volleys for that

Stajus,
yup, your movement is quite perfectible, but for your bragging, don't change a thing, you're already at the top ! ;)

That must be it  :love9: Or maybe someone isn't being realistic :fear: You don't play singles online enough to understand much, is the reality :|

Basically, what you're saying is that everyone playing this game sucks, since I've beaten pretty much everyone on the World Tour...Nice way to encourage your online community :fear:

...but yeah, my movement really sucks

Can you give me some hints, please? :x Or a .dmo of you vs Voja, maybe that will help me for RG2012 if I meet him? :P

I didn't say your movement suck, I said it's perfectible. You think it's already perfect and don't want to work on it ? Fine by me, it's not my problem anyway.

okay :D

btw i now started playing with preview.. it's a little bit lame but it plays better you can read the return better..
Also easier to get in the right position, master 4 is what i play now.

on topic, playing with preview seems to be the option to get rid of the AI hitting return winners
