CPU Cheating in World Tour?

Postby MaceG1 » 05 May 2012, 13:31

I love this game; it's very fun and enjoyable to play. My biggest complaint is playing the CPU in World Tour. They run down every ball you hit and return it in such a way that it's impossible to compete. Even on serve, they can still return with unrealistically good precision. I regularly serve around 135 mph, sometimes reaching 138 mph and I see the CPU run and return the serve easily. Defenders are the absolute worst! What's most frustrating is the fact that their returns are so fast and deep in the court. Moreover it seems like they have some kind of "jump" on the ball when you strike it and play with unusual tenacity whenever a break point comes up. Almost like they know where you are intending to place the ball. Lastly, I see the CPU strike the ball at high speeds regularly (87mph, 90mph, 100mph when its Hewitt), yet my speed maxes out at 85 even though my forehand power is 93 :?:

Hello,

no, there's no cheating on CPU side, except :
- in Incredible, he gets a bonus on his skills, from 1% at Incredible-1 up to 10% at Incredible-10
- he can aim anywhere all the time, even if short on time (but if he doesn't have time to prepare his strike, his precision greatly lowers, same as yours)

If the ball is around the shoulder height, and you're well positioned, you get a strike speed bonus on acceleration ; it's likely why you saw these strike speeds from your opponents.
