Well I just played a set vs Stan where the only way I could avoid to see him defend my smashes at the net was to have enough time to hit a perfect short angled smash...I'm my opinion any fast enough smash (let's say from 110kmh) can't be returned by any way in real tennis, so why would that be possible here ? Seriously...

Counter isn't destroyed at all...both counter and defender are still overpowered (always have been, if not Voja would accept to play me puncher vs puncher in tournaments but he refuses )...the set attached shows counter is totally fine...I have to defend during 2 times more points than Florian - tell me who the f**k is overpowered there? It's just that you and most players don't know how to use the counter style...A player of lesser defensive skills than me, using PB/puncher, would have been destroyed...Fact.

Is is really something you want players to be able to defend smashes at the net with ? If not you could probably be able to remove it asap...
thanks for commenting on that at least...

I never used a no shot in that set....lol...it was fire 1 and then it net clipped or smthg...and hmm...you do the same thing sometimes...rushing net to play ping pong (sometimes by lobbing) and praying  Anyways, this game has many flaws so no point starting a list...But it's still more realistic than the other tennis games I've seen on Youtube, etc. :fear:

I should try Virtua Tennis or Top Spin, they are currently better than this silly game.. First I tought that this game is the best, now TE is on the bottom, but should I care? If Manu wants that, ok. VT and TS are more realistic, now exict only defender, counter is not destroyed at all, as Stan said, but its currenty the worst style, like defender playing with 100% spin, are you kidding me? PB is bad too, they should have the best return, maybe like counters, maybe better, puncher is the same like PB, defender overpowered, silly and funny. This is just my opinion.!

I agree that it would be better to see the puncher style developp a little and have bigger and more noticeable advantages :)

Florian,
if 110km/h was already enough to make a winner against the safe strike, then the acceleration volley whose top speed is 115km/h would be a winner against all type of volley strikes.
For next Build, I'll look the .dmo posted by Stajus and see if there's some tuning to do from it.

Maxy,
you didn't really ask me anything, but did some suggestion ; so no, I won't change the return efficiency of the PB.
What I may do for the next Build is raise the shoulder height acceleration bonus by about 4 or 5km/h (and about half of that on the BH).
And I'm not sure why you complain so much while comparing to the past, as since 1 year the defender style has been nerfed a few times, the counter has been nerfed a couple of times, while the PB/Puncher/Varied were buffed with the shoulder height acceleration bonus, so globally it's way more balanced now than in the past.

You jut forget to mention the fact that a unlike the volley which is always pretty much at a reasonable height, the direction a smash takes is supposed to be much more difficult to get the ball back in play because it's simply much higher and bouncy ! How often do you see in real tennis smashes countered by someone at the net ?? + Stan was able to get 130+ smashes while he was at the net...
I would rather understand if by luck we could be able to get big volleys back in play in case you anticipate them, still it is very lucky...

Btw, those unlimited accelerations are still ridiculous...in the .dmo I posted you can see there's almost no way to win those rallies, I just have to keep playing b1 or b1+down when I am out of accelerations and pray that he makes an error or something...lol, I think I won 2 points as he came to the net...because I managed to force the "ping pong" at net - it's pretty ridiculous that no other way I can win those points...Counters should have a few more accelerations, not unlimited  And they definitely should have a lower jump than puncher, not higher (as in their jumps should be swapped and a slightly bigger jump should go to puncher and not like it is now...because it's nonsense)...Puncher is someone who "punches" and approaches the net, thus it should be a great net player (higher jump), counter is a player that counters hard baseline shots to get the edge in rallies :tard: Defender, I am not even going to comment...just look at Voja's scores in the Casablanca topic vs two great players like Sharapova M.S. and Bassem (top 10)...

You should also tune that short slice or make it much harder to hit...it's overpowered and people will start abusing it. Drop shots are also quite weird in doubles (and slightly overpowered in general?)...any deflection between partners' at the net (volleying to each other), eventually goes to the human player at a slow pace so in 80% of cases he can just be holding the drop shot and the ball will come right to his racquet and it's a 100% winner drop shot...no way to reach.

I attached some doubles sets from last night: Stajus vs dr.Ivo 0-6 6-3 6-4...Well, it's so bizarre and random...I won 6 points in the 1st set and then won the match  Partners are just insane... and insanely stupid  No direct comment but you should watch all the sets I guess, it's just weird...Also, I noticed we volley out or into the net much more than before - what has changed in this update with respect to net vs net volleying? Partners return very sharp crosscourt angled returns always
now and never slice, I think that was some tune up about making them to slice less? Anyways, those returns are a bit harsh  :blackeye:

To conclude, this version is not that good overall, doubles is weird and random, singles has overpowered styles...and I'm not complaining because I'm losing...as I only lost to Voja since the update  But yeah, this update isn't great if you ask me (for the reasons listed above) - so I'm just giving some general comments about the update and about some things that are really weird. Hope you read this. Cheers.
