Harper obliterates Roddick to defend Farmers Classic title

Postby LetsGoBro » 02 Jul 2011, 11:52

Following the defense of his Wimbledon crown as well as helping USA storm through to the Davis Cup quarterfinals with two impressive wins in singles over Youzhny and Davydenko, World No.1 James Harper continued his imperious form as he destroyed compatriot, Davis Cup teammate and good friend Andy Roddick 6-3, 6-0 to defend his homesoil title. Despite having a tentative start on serve when deadlocked at a 3-deuce game, he broke immediately to establish a 3-0 lead to cement the break in the opening set, and that was all that he needed to clinch and serve his way for the set 6-3. After breaking again in the opening game of the second set despite Roddick holding a 40-15 lead on his serve, Harper never looked back as he broke twice again at will to seal the victory with his 8th ace to successfully defend the title he won last year. Roddick had no break points on his fellow American's serve while his deadly opponent went a staggering 4 to 4 on break point opportunities.

Yeah BIG problem. Murray's CPU was playing really good, especially with strong backhand. I remember I was *1-5 with *15-30 down on serve, but got back to 4-5* with several BP chances to go back to 5-5. I missed them, then Murray served an ace on set pt and took it 6-4. I was very angry, and smashed the table really hard. I also fell down *1-3 down in 2nd set, but for some reason CPU then play very bad, missing alot on forehand, that's why 6-3, then CPU continue to choke and that's why I won 6-2 in 3rd. Was lucky I think :|.
But in final, Roddick CPU was actually very terrible, that's why 3 and 0. I don't think I played special at all, just well enough to win.
