Hello everyone,

I was wondering how I can help my country get pass the qualifying round of Davis Cup. I've won all my Davis Cup matches throughout 3 years, but my countrymen keep losing their's. Shouldn't the score be 2-2 in the end if I win 2 matches and my countrymen loses two matches? However, the other country ends up advancing into the next round. If my countrymen keep losing their matches, how is my country ever going to win the David Cup?

Questions:
I know Manutoo said the big aces from opponents are at random. However, I find this to not be the case. When I played against Nadal at the finals of Wimbledon, he aced a total of 24 aces. All of his aces came when I had the chance to break, or when I was about to be 3 points up from him in his service game. What is the deal here? Furthermore, I got aced 6 times in one game; all the aces came from when I had break points. Each time I was about to break, my opponent would ace me, and make the score deuce again. Eventually, my opponent won his service game by acing me.

Can someone please offer some insights on how to win the Davis Cup and why the CPU only aces when he's about to get broken? Thank you.

The final score should be 3-2 in favor of the other team in order for them to advance. There's also a doubles match along with the 4 singles matches. If your doubles ranking is high enough (I think that's how it works), then you can elect to play singles and doubles for your country. That may give you an edge against the opponents.

As far as aces are concerned, it's not unusual for my singles opponent to score 15-20 in a three set match. (I don't get near that many ) But a three set doubles match doesn't produce near that many. My guess is that it depends on what level the CPU players are set at. If you have them set in the Master or Incredible levels, they're going to move and serve a lot faster than if they were in a lower level.

That happens to me too, I'm from Chile in 2013 and I can't win a single serie even winning my two singles

I chose America -- They are very consistent Got strong team like either Roddick, Fish, Isner or Querrey!! They interchange sometimes, but usually Roddick is more frequently there in singles field. We made finals last year (in 2010) but lost to Spain LOL expected.

Now this year 2011, at 2-2 in tie, Roddick won decisive Rubber against NALBANDIAN in five sets for 3-2 to send USA in final again! Hope he win this time xD -- Face Switzerland in final, who beat Spain 3-2!

Lol I play Spain in Davis cup... (I play World Tour with Ferrer currently on my avatar lol ) and they are very consistent aswell! And btw just beaten Italy 5-0
And USA got the best doubles team aka Bryan brothers!

USA and Spain are indeed very consistent countries. They always produce great results! Too bad I can't change my country. I will have to represent Norway until I retire.

Bryan Brothers have retired for me in 2011 == Our Doubles team is very poor at the moment!!!

Lol yeah I know in default they are supposed to retire in 2011 but I extended it to 2013 or 2014 I think In real life I don't think they are going to retire at all in 2011 so I extended it for realistic game (in doubles specialists players stay much longer time for example Daniel Nestor who is 38 and still playing!) So I recommend you to do same as me and extend their career.

Yeah except I dont think there is a way to bring back retired players in that game >.<
Maybe this idea could appeal to Manu for a next update. And that idea of mine is -- have separate retirements for singles and doubles for each player on tour. Maybe for example, set Retire average of singles 28-33 (thats already what it's set at), but then separate that and set Retire average of doubles like 37-43 or something like that -- just so it is more realistic!!!
