got a desync on the replay so the CPU never jumps...
But I thought of 1 case it could happen ; if the CPU jump & didn't strike the ball, and the ball already passed him by 1.5 meters, he'll move back into position instead of running to the ball (coz he couldn't play it anyway). Is it what happened ?

Not quite. The CPU (my partner) is standing there, fairly close to the net, and the ball is coming to his forehand (right hand). He holds out his racquet, and just before the ball gets there, he moves away to his left, away from the ball. Then the ball goes right by him, and of course I can't get to it in time, thinking he's got it covered.

Would you like me to send it to the address I got my license email from? Do you think that would be better, or would it not make any difference?

Thanks!

SC Tom,
it is unlikely that the file got corrupted, but you can try to .zip or .rar it than post it again.
Else, I guess we'll have to wait that it happens another time with another .dmo ... :fear:

Here's a zip of it. If it still doesn't work and I'll wait for the next instance and send a zip of it. Thanks!

OK, here's another one. It happens at 51 minutes into the match. Watch the guy in red in the near court (Travis). He's on the deuce side and I'm in the ad court. The ball comes down the line to his right, and at the last second, he pulls away to the left, letting the ball go by.

SC Tom,
you should tell me the score, it'd be much easier to locate the point.
I guess it happened at 6/1 2/3 30/30 ..? If so, it got desynch again coz I saw a double fault on that point... (there are only about 7 desynch points in the whole match, so it's kinda bad luck :fear: )

It was 2-3 30/40 IIRC.

Maybe it's desync that I'm seeing. I don't play online, so I'm not real sure what desync actually is. But if it's the ball going one way and the player going the other, that's what I'm getting. Maybe I can zip up a series of still shots to show it.

Thanks!

*edit* I did a series of stills, but even max zipped, it's 1.7Mb, and I can't upload it here. Do you want me to email it to you?

SC Tom,
doh, this morning I wasn't fully awaken, and mismatched deuce & ad court... :blackeye:
ok, so it's 30/40.
When it desync, it means the replay doesn't reproduce what happened when you played.
On my PC, at 30/40, it desyncs for sure, coz I see your partner winning the point, but the actual score goes to your opponents. I think your partner actually plays correctly on my PC, ie: he hits the ball & doesn't go away. Send me the pics to my email, it might confirm me this.
If the replay works correctly on ur PC (ie: your partner goes away), it may mean there's a bug in your version that is not in the latest version. Could you try to update to the latest SubBuild & check if you still get the same behavior from your partner when playing the .dmo ..?
Are you playing with 2D or 3D courts ? I tried with both for the same result, anyway... Really not sure from where this different behavior could occur...

I'm running the latest sub-build dated June 7th. The full game one is from that version. I'm playing on 3D courts.

Another glitch (maybe?) is sometimes when I hit the ESC key, my "Help" listing isn't there. It goes

Return To Game
Give Up
{space}
Options
etc.

If I exit the game and restart it, most of the time it will be back where it should be. Any ideas?

Thanks!

SC Tom,
if the game is recording the match, then the "Help" menu won't be available anymore from the "In-game" menu (because that menu allows modification of game parameters).

I didn't know that. Thanks for the explanation!

Here's another .dmo for the other problem. The score is Fle/Par 2-0 15-0. Par is serving, and one of the returns comes to his forehand, and he moves away (again to his left) like he's trying to get out of the way of the ball instead of hitting it. There were a couple more instances during the game, but they were late, and I didn't write down the scores at the time

One thing that I still find very unrealistic in doubles is how often the net person hits the ball cross-court directly to the opponent at the net (this has been a pet peeve since TE2009 :) ). In real life (at least from my play and what I see on TV), it shouldn't happen as often as it does in TE. If the opponents are directly across from each other, I can see a spirited volley between the two. But when they are at net, on opposite sidelines, one of them should not hit the ball directly to the other one more than 50% of the time as it seems to be now. :( Is there a setting that can be changed for this? It's not just my partner doing it, it's also the opponents.

Very little bug,

When we are on tournament board after match, when we check sometimes when i click on right button for see another board tournament or when i go down for check the second board, i come back on my board tournament.

Another when i change a shirt, the character is white, so i must open a second time man.ini and change the shirt03 number

shirt01 1-12 shirt02 13-17 shirt03 18-28 (first modif when i add the shirt 28)
shirt01 1-12 shirt02 13-18 shirt03 19-28 (second modif because character is all white)

and after it's ok.

SC Tom,
ok, this time it didn't desynch !
The CPU is jumping, but doesn't look correctly where he is currently to decide to jump or not ! (that would happen when he's running forward or backward)
Are you sure all other cases were like this case ? If so, then it'll be all fixed for next update..!

For cross court volley fights in doubles, I won't change it for now...

Dalia,
it's not a bug, it works as intended... ':D
The menu history only keeps 1 entry per type of menu, thus it forgets 1st draw when you watch the 2nd one (this happens for all other kinds of menus when you can cycle through them).

For the shirt, if it works on 2nd load, then we're going to say it works well enough... :P

Phew, I was beginning to think it was just my PC :)

All the others that I sent were like this last one, where he moves to his left away from the forehand stroke or volley. I've never seen it happen with him moving to the right away from a volley or backhand, just to the left.

Thanks!
