Also regarding serves 1st serve % should be more equal between players, I don't how much it can swing right now but it is too much. Serve is such an important shot that some matches are simply decided by who gets more first serves in. It may be realistic that it varies a lot and may be good for offline play but online having so much depend on random serving can be quite annoying.
So the 1st serve percetange should imo be fixed to be (nearly) even between both players, I suppose to what number can vary match to match but that's not really important.

Also it is annoying when a tight match gets to 4-4, your opponent hits 4 great first serves and gets to 5-4 easily, then in your crucial game you get 0 first serves in and get broken. If the above suggestion doesn't help situations like this then I think something else should be done to eliminate this kind of situations

All in all the randomness of the serve should not affect matches as much as it is now.

That just means that people who have better timing on their serves are being penalised for having just that...better timing, or their opponents for having poorer timing/points devoted elsewhere. + that whole scenario with the 4-4, that happens frequently in real life and in TE, so why change something that ain't broke..

That's why I typed "random" I obviously didn't mean serves that are badly timed, I meant serves that go to net or go long. So changing it would not affect people with good timing in any way, it would still be possible to time badly and hit out of course.

And I also mentioned that it is realistic what's happening now, and I've tried to look at it that way. However the more I play the more I find myself frustrated by the serves(because you have 0 control over them going to net or long, unlike in real life). Te isn't real life so things that aren't that much fun should not be in there just because they are realistic. Though I'm not suggesting complete removal of random serves just reducing it so that it won't have great effect on matches.

On the next update could you make it where we can sit out dead rubber matches at fed cup/davis cup and let the next highest ranked player play the match instead?

world tour wta. difficult to beat players with topspin

Postby prai » 05 Aug 2011, 09:00

im playing wta tour taking maria sharapova as my player, year 2002-2003. im playing in 'incredible sublevel 4' at the moment.
It's very dfficult to beat players with topspins. For instance I've lost to Justine Henin 3 times out of three played, all in straight sets whereas I've beaten Serena Williams (World no. 1) six times (Never lost a set. 6-0, 6-0 score in the last match)
and Venus Williams (no 3) seven times (6-0, 6-0 in the last match).
I've also lost to Patty Schnyder twice in two matches, both in straight sets, she uses a lot of topsin and all of a sudden comes with very flat shots, incredibly hard to beat.
Barely winning against Arantxa Sanchez Vicario and lost to Conchita Martinez. Similar pattrern I mean. Big topsins means cant hit flat shots and if u try to hit hard, it'll result in an error. And incredible speed for all these players, so cant pass them with winners.
I know i struggle against clay court players but winning against aggresive players should not be so easy at the same level to be fair.

Against Monica Seles, I've lost just 5 games in 4 matches. two double bagels and in finals. Strange!

tennisfan,
you can change it only using the DevMode trick : viewtopic.php?p=67895#p67895 .

why is my player's hitting so much different in training mode than in world tour mode? I have 100% topspin set yet my risk shot in world tour mode looks very flat, in training mode there's lost of topspin??

When will v1.0c be released? I thought it was normal for updates to be released around Grand Slam time...
