Linux version on Steam

Postby obl » 18 Dec 2023, 05:35

Hi, Manu!

Are there any plans to include a native Linux version on Steam? Or, is there any reason why it's not available?

For us, Steam Deck users, native games are usually more efficient and potentially can give us better battery life. Plus, the fps could be improved when the applause happens on 3D with a larger audience.

The game is awesome, I appreciate all this work :) Best tennis game on Steam for sure.

Cheers!

Hello,

sorry, I'm crushed by my workload, so I really don't want to add other stuff to do... :fear:

I don't think it'd improve the FPS for the applauding crowd, though ; it can happen on a PC with low specs as well.

And thanks for the praise. :jap:

Hello,

ah, I understand :) I don't mean to add any stress to your workload. Do you think it will eventually come to Steam, once you can focus on other things?

For the moment, it runs pretty good with Proton.

Thanks for the insight, cheers!

Maybe I'll do a Linux build for the Steam version after the v1.0, but it's unlikely right now, at least as long as the game is regularly updated.
