Progressing through World Tour

Postby evelynnie » 30 Jul 2023, 08:03

Hi guys, I'm currently playing through a World Tour and I was wondering how many set/games everyone plays to keep themselves progressing through the year while still maintaining long enough matches? At the moment as I'm ranked 30 in ATP250/500s im playing 1 set 4 games in the first round, 1 set 6 games in the 2nd round, 3 sets 4 games in the 3rd round and 3 sets 6 games after that, but I feel like it feels a bit arbitrary and I'm not sure if it's a good system. Any suggestions?

I play with "real" set settings.... best of 3 for "normal" Tournaments and best of 5 for Grand Slams.
