This might be an incredibly stupid question since I haven't been really on the forum since I bought TE4, which i love btw but compared to the previous version ive had issues with it lagging every now and then like Ill play one game w FPS 60 and then it drops to about 17-30 fps which makes it very difficult to play, ive lost countless matches because of that. Just wondering if it has to do with the fact that I am still playing on the TE4 0.45 version or if its simply something with my MacBook although I believe w 16GB of ram that should be enough, Idk if this is the right forum to post this in Manutoo, but any tips would be greatly appreciated I love how you have continued to develop the original game!

check if the power-saving mode triggers, especially if you have a laptop.

When the framerate gets low, it stays low all the time till the end of the match ?

RAM doesn't really have much to do with in-game performance. If you are using an IGPU your frames probably won't be great but if you play 2d court it would improve your performance quite a bit. Why are you still on v0.45?

Im not on power saving mode, but the frame rate keeps changing randomly it will be between 17-30 for a few points and then suddenly jump to 60 for a few points. Im also playing on all the lowest settings, 2D court, low player detail, low shadows everything so im just wondering. And i am playing on a MacBook 2019 Touch 15 inch 16GB ram w a 2.6 GHz 6-Core Intel Core i7 processor so i think it is good enough to run the game? I might try updating to the newest version just hoping not to lose all my saved games.

If the game can run at 60fps sometimes, I guess it means there's something going on on your computer, but I don't know what it is exactly...

I see here https://support.apple.com/kb/SP794?viewlocale=en_US that "Radeon Pro 560X with 4GB of GDDR5 memory and automatic graphics switching ; Intel UHD Graphics 630".

Maybe your Mac switches between your GPU & IGP during the game. That'd be strange, but it might be worth checking on that...
