Using a controller

Postby Jennifer » 02 Jul 2010, 22:22

I have the demo version of TE2011 and I was hoping to try using my Logitech gamepad with it as I don't find the keyboard controls very easy to use.

I can't see how you set it up in the game though. There's an option for using a keyboard and mouse but nothing for a controller.

How do you set one up?

Hello Jennifer,
Are you sure theres no option for Joystick in your TE2011?. Its a strange if the answer is yes. Probably your gamepad is not recognized by your windows yet.
I am also using Logitech gamepad, and setting up is easy. Assuming your gamepad is already recognized by your windows.
1. Go to main menu.
2. On the right side are icons, choose the 4th from below saying "Controls". Click on that then a new window will show. On this new window, usually you will see word Player 1 and second row is usually "Keyboard 1". If you see "Joystick 1" already thats great, if not, then click on that "Keyboard 1" a couple of times until you see the word "Joystick 1".
3. Below that are set of button assignment for you gamepad. To reassign the button according to your likings, just click any of it then press the button on your gamepad to assign that key. Repeat the same procedure until you assigned all the buttons to your likings.
That's it. Congratulations, you can now use your gamepad to play.
I suggest buy the game, so you will enjoy the full version features. Its a great game.

Thanks, I've just had another go and now feel a bit of an idiot as I've found the joystick setups now! I could have sworn I only had keyboard and mouse the other day!

Thanks for your help :)
