Slice and Top Spin strokes- TE2011

Postby SC Tom » 04 Jun 2010, 19:10

I like the 3D format, and only have one question (so far). Is it possible to get the slice and top spin stroke like in the later releases of TE2009? I had them assigned to buttons on my controller in TE2009, but don't see that same option in TE2011.

Thanks! :)

I'm guessing the extra buttons for slice and top spin in the control menu?
search in the tennis.ini for CtrlExtraButton, it's under [Menu] and change it to =1.
If that's not it and you asked for the different anims, you'll have to update the game to have both 3d courts and different anims (as well as surfaces and world tour), use the survey that's in the Tennis Elbow 2011 v1.0 thread, fill the form and you'll get the buying-page
Tour Mod.

That's what I was looking for. Thanks!!

I've already bought the game. I'm getting used to it easily enough. Having played TE2009 for a while makes it a lot easier.

OK, another question. Is it possible to change the country after the player has been created? I meant to choose USA but got typically absent minded and picked another.
TIA!

idk if it's doable, try changing devmode to =1 (under [3D Engine] and changing your country in your character sheet then, don't know if it's going to work (that's the way you can change the anims you use) though

SC Tom, I think this is currently not possible to change your country without starting a new game...

I think you're right. I tried Algo's suggestion, and even in devmode, I can change just about everything but the country.
Not a big deal; I had only played one match with my character, so I just started a new game and created a new guy. THIS time I paid more attention to what I was doing :)

Thanks for a great game! I really like the 3D courts. All we need now is the ball kids running across to pick up the balls LOL!! (Just kidding)
