viktor1212, what was the ping like ? (shown on top left of the window)
what was the Delay ..? (shown on top right of Match Board screen => F4 shortcut key)
If you hosted, was the AutoDelay stable before you launched the game ?

Now only change that I can notice with this update comparing with earlier version is in games that have some let's say medium to high ping (150-200). Earlier that kind of game if ping is in that range was slower with some lag, now it loos more playable but with some effect that I would call "blinking of whole screen during the points". Just like some frames is not there, also I've noticed that in that kind of game movement is harder, it is not possible to make small steps while waiting service because short pressing on any direction arrow results with player making big step on that side. Just like some frames are cut off in that kind of game.

With this last build (#50) when playing against the CPU, I notice some "blinking" or "flashing" effect on the court, mainly when my player comes to the net to volley...
The net and court disappears for a split-second and then re-appears when the point is over...
At the baseline everything's OK, only when I come to the net...

I'm using Solarisaint's lower camera angle Indian Wells court, previously with no such problems...
It never happened before with his courts and doesn't happen with builds #48 or #49...only #50..
Has anyone else noticed this?

I have noticed that the new version that was updated April 19 freeze most of the time. Today I had to close some games because it happened. And there are some stupid shots that really does not exist in reality. For example, to shoot the ball high into the air and then land it in front of the net on my side. And it is very difficult to move than before. The player takes long time before it accelerates towards the ball. Something else I noticed was that when the opponent makes a lob is really impossible to catch the ball when it is possible to take it, the ball bounces too high on the baseline on clay!

the ping was 15-20 ms,the delay was 200ms and the lag ratio was 0%
but as i can understand from your post ur saying that no matter what the value of the ping is if the delay is bigger then 117 ms the game will be in slow motion?

Hi btaylor, can you try the Setting under Video-Advance Options- FSAA. Before, I notice that the lines of court on the other side, blinks from time to time. I just play around with values of FSAA and it disappear. I am just thinking it might help. :)

Hi jesp

I tried the video-advanced options FSAA thingy and it doesn't seem to make a difference with my problem... :?
Oh well...thanks anyway...

If I can't get it fixed, I guess I'll just have to keep playing with build #48...like I said, no problems with it...

It's too bad, because I really like how Manu tuned the Roddick serve in build #50...

btaylor, I had a similar problem but with the 3D courts, so I'm not sure if you're having the same one with the 2D Court texture. Is almost everything getting black ?
Could you try to edit your Tennis.ini (or the .ini of your custom Profile), and change this line, under [3dEngine], from :
T&L = 2
to :
T&L = 1
and let me know if it helps or not..?

Imanno, player's movement didn't change...

viktor1212, was the Delay set manually or automatically ? Anyway, you could have set it manually to 17 or 33ms and it'd have been fine...

Hi Manu

I changed "T&L" under 3d engine like you said, but the same thing happens...

No, it's not turning black...when the "blinking/flashing" occurs, it's just that the net and court lines disappear momentarily when my player passes the service line and starts to volley...

Either after the point is won or lost at the net OR my player retreats back to the baseline everything is normal...

Sometimes with Solarisaint's courts on my computer I'll have the court lines "flicker" for a micro-second or so, but nothing really annoying...when that happens I sometimes wonder if it's my video card or something...
In that situation, though, the net never disappears...so it's not a real problem...

But like I said before, this problem with the net and court lines disappearing only started happening with build #50...

I even tried de-installing/re-installing the build, but no difference...

btaylor, thx for ur detailed report, I localized the bug & just published a new SubBuild that should hopefully fix it.

Imanno, I wasn't able to reproduce the lob that is too high on clay. Maybe it happens only with a 155cm player..? With a 185cm player, it's easy to smash the ball & it looks more realistic than before when the bounce was a bit too low...

By Jove, ManuTOO old man...I think you've GOT IT!!! :applause: :bounce:
So, t'was actually the max camera zoom that was the culprit...not the actual player movement to the net?

btaylor, it was both... ;)
The problem occurred when the center of the unzoomed screen was zoomed out. And I guess this only happened when your player was at net with the camera zoom being at max.
