viktor1212,
do you create games ? or do you join them ?
If you create them, what are the AutoDelay & Delay values when you click to launch the game ? And what's the Delay shown down right when u press F4 ..?
And are you sure you have the SubBuild 2010.3.17 ? (check that in the "Credits" menu)

Is something changed about ELO penalty ? Earlier retirement during first 2 games haven't applied any ELO penalty. Now I noticed that ELo penalty is there sometime even if I or my opponent retire after 2 points because game is unplayable due to big lag ?

This sub build made some games to look better.

Now only change that I can notice with this update comparing with earlier version is in games that have some let's say medium to high ping (150-200). Earlier that kind of game if ping is in that range was slower with some lag, now it loos more playable but with some effect that I would call "blinking" of whole screen during the points. Just like some frames is not there, also I've noticed that in that kind of game movement is harder, it is not possible to make small steps while waiting service because short pressing on any direction arrow results with player making big step on that side. Just like some frames are cut off in that kind of game.

In some of earlier post by manoo I read that so called Nadal shot is not possible any more, but I've tried in this latest version and looks it is still there (if that is combination of alt+ down then up + left or right direction), a shot with spin but also with some parabolic trajectory. Beside that shot there is similar posiblity on service even for players with low or no spin skill to perform service with lot of spin and unrealistic high bounce (probably even for Isner like players :). Ball has higher bounce than in usual spin service while ball trajectory is more parabolic due to added slice. As much as I could see that is performed as ordinary spin service with changed option during service motion from spin to slice (or like slice service with changed option during service motion to add spin instead of slice). All mentioned shots looks very unrealistic and looks like some tricky shots. I was wandering because manoo mentioned that Nadal shot is not possible any more (or won't be possible) will that also remove that kind of unrealistic tricky services from the game ?

I think the serve done with I think fire 2+up+down is quite ridiculous. I think it has nothing to do with anything seen in real life tennis. lol

Srle,
- ELO Penalty changed since v1.0d
- I never said Nadal shot wouldn't be possible anymore
- this is the kicked serve, and it's quite real. In the tennis club I used to play, all the kids were trying to learn it. And it's excessively hard to return at 1st (damn kids ':D )...

viktor1212,
could you answer up to the 4 other questions ?

Krisztian J., volley vs volley was pretty unrealistic before... Once you'll get use to this update, u'll see that... ;)

manoo maybe the kicked service that kid's learning to perform in tennis club is real, but I am not talking about kicked service in real life but about implementation of that in the TE game that looks unrealistic.

Watching so much tennis matches from both ATP/WTA every week and really rare to see service that is bouncing so high like that service in TE game. It goes over the head of player about 170 tall when he is standing around 1 meter out of base line.
I said that maybe tall players like Isner or Karlovic are able to perform that kind of service but only sometimes and in some particular conditions, like Isner did in Indian Wells 2009 but only in day matches on big heat, and that bounce he was able to get from his service was highly discussed on tennis forums last year. I don't think that is realistic to see small player (espec. wta player with 160 height) to hit such service with so high bounce and according to danger zone after that service returning player should stand very far behind base line to be positioned well for such shot. In other words I would see something like that as realistic if that is something available for people playing with very tall players but giving that kind of service available to every player in game I see as very unrealistic.

I agree with Srle(if he's talking about the twisting serve and not the regular kick serve). That serve does not look realisitic at all, it just bounces are curves way too much. But the main problem with it is that it's very out of place with the other service options you have, because it's difficulty to get back well is too high. Even accelerations are often easier to get back. You just don't see the pro players struggle with this kind of serves as much. If it's not removed then it should be toned down imo.

hi manu.
i post this message after seeing tons of players think the same than me. it's not about the game, even if i keep thinking the sliced serve is bad now :p. it's about the lag. now everybody has lag with everybody (i even had with kyuuji and ero who are 200 km from me, maybe a little more). it's not only me, it's for everyone i think.
can you check if everything is okay, because we will not take pleasure anymore if we have to play like this every set.
thanks

tati cornet,
could u read & answers these questions to viktor1212, from my post just a bit before yours :
topic15-3138.php#p41457
..?

about Kick Serve,

With this camera angle, it's hard to be sure, but I'd say the ball is still raising after have passed the returner. The trajectory looks quite similar to the one in TE2009, except it's faster than the B2 serve, so it's a bit less curvy overall, but still bouncing quite high, likely around the height of the returner's head.
